Wenger Laughing At These Clowns

I love how Chelsea and City fancy themselves to bag Cesc. Wenger has the deal wrapped up but is probably sitting back and enjoy this non-saga. Let the Chelsea fans get excited infact Wenger is taking revenge for when Jose delayed the Ba bid then rejected it late in the day. Wenger is waiting for one of Chelsea & City to bid and do all the hard work so then we come in, get half our money back then secure Cesc back into our wonderful team.

Who believes in karma. The way Chelsea have bullied rivals in the market in the past year like buying players so others couldn't (Salah, Willian) will hit them hardest this summer. We should see if this Cesc thing can drag onto deadline day and hope Chelsea pin all their plans on him then perform the biggest U-turn in transfer history! Cesc will probably be up for that seeing as he hates Jose with a passion and wouldn't even consider Chelsea

Chelsea will panic and end up with Tiago

So cute of these Chelsea fans to think a deal is on the cards

IMO until such times as Arsenal show a degree of interest in resigning Cesc (to date there has been none) we can presume he is not.

I've never known a set of fans be so possessive over a player that doesn't play for their club and didn't want to.

Geezer, I've seen the Ronaldo threads on your board.

HE LEFT YOU!!!

deal with it.

I think United fans are happy he played for us, disappointed he left, but not possessive over him. There was talk last summer that he could have rejoined us, but it was just talk. Don't remember fans getting into childish hysteria over it like one or two of the Arsenal fans are over Fabregas.

The majority of posts about Ronaldo on the United board are opposition fans trying to point score, such as saying Messi>Ronaldo. Fine. He's not our player.

why? because chelsea are linked with a player? why shouldnt fans be excited at being linked with a player? Difference is here, is that you arent linked with him...just fangirls fawning over a player that dumped you years ago....remember, he isnt your player!
its now 1/3 on him going to chelsea and 5/1 arsenal

I don't think Ronaldo's situation is comparable to that of Cesc. United don't have a buyback or first refusal, and Ronaldo isn't being touted for a potential return.
If Ronaldo was in the same situaton you would of course do the same.
Obviously we are far from resigning Cesc, but the possibility of the return of one of the best midfielders in the planet is undoubtedly exciting.
Some of the posters have gone ott, that's true. But we are not being possessive in any way given the situation Barf.

How are we not linked with him leiva? We have first refusal. It's a no brainer we would bid if someone else does, after that, it's for the player to decide.

You think quoting odds proves anything? Odds not only reflect the likelihood of an event happening but also the trends in the betting market. It might very well be a lure to get punters placing bets on it to happen (ie Cesc to CFC), or an indication that many of them already started doing so.

"Arsenal had a clause inserted in the contract when Fabregas left for £35m stating that Barcelona have to inform them if he is sold so that Arsenal could match any offer.
The Londoners would also share in any possible profit that Barcelona make over and above the fee of £35m that they received when he was transferred."

its not a "first refusal" though is it?

and given they are selling for £30m, you wont be getting any extra.

Match any offer. After that, it's up to Cesc.
