If Wenger is going to ignore our buy back clause for Fabregas and just let him go to Chelsea and strengthen a rival significantly, I sure as hell hope he has some other signings up his sleeve to compensate for it, such as a world class striker, and I don't mean Remy.
I'm baffled to put it simply. The one time where we are in a position of control with regard to the transfer of a world class player over the plastic clubs and we don't capitalize on it. Only Wenger.
If Cesc does go to Chelsea and Wenger doesn't do all he can to get him to Arsenal, my patience with him will be up.
Well Done Wenger

Yeah if Wenger doesn't sign Cesc he should be shot !!!
Get a grip we, have an embarrasment of riches in midfield and our MF is the envy of pretty much every club in Europe never mind the PL. Why should AW buy Cesc when we desperately need a top quality striker (or two), probably a CB, a RB, and a Defensive MF (which Cesc definitely is NOT !!!!). Forget sentimnet spend the money in areas where it is needed

Cesc is now (or will be shortly) a Chelsea player. Can we all move on now please...

Sorry what embarrasment of riches are you on about?
Ramsey - Class this season
Ozil - World Class
Jack - Not doing too good (forever injured)
Santi - Very Good Player
Diaby - Dont make me laugh
Out of that list 3 are world class/very good.
If you want to win things you faking need more than 3 class MF players.
Also envy of of every club in europe lol lol lol lol

While it would have been advantageous to have Cesc back at the club he is not a player the club are in need of at present. It is essential we strengthen in other areas, and feel it is best to reserve judgement until our summer business has been concluded.
IMO the squad is crying out for pace and while noting Cesc’s exceptional talent he is far from quick.
He will do a good job for Chelsea and good luck to him, however it would be beneficial if certain AFC fans can now move on now!

Players like Cesc dont become available and when they do you take the chance and get him back.
End of the day he is still better than anything we have at the club and we would be stronger with him in the team than without.
Yes a Striker and DM are a priority however yo get Cesc Fabregas is he becomes available and for only £27Million.

Exactly - United didn't need RVP in 2012, in fact they'd already bought Kagawa to play in behind Rooney that summer. However when he became available at £22m, it was, understandably, to good a deal for Fergie to turn down and he practically won them the title.
Cesc would instantly be our best player were we to bring him back, and for that reason alone I cannot comprehend the logic in not doing it, completely ignoring his connection to the club.

You make a few good points, which I happen to agree with but for whatever reason the club have other targets in mind.
Given the benefits Cesc could have offered, logic suggests that the club have appropriate justification in not signing him.

An "embarrassment of riches" that meant Wenger felt the need to sign an injured over-the-hill Kim Kallstrom last season to provide depth and cover?
It's perfectly feasible that we could sign Cesc AND strengthen in other areas, and it would have the added benefit of not making Chelsea better.
Ignoring any emotional ties with the player (positive or negative), I would have to see this as a very bad decision. Wenger and the management better get some damn good deals done this Summer if they're letting this happen.
