We can put to bed the myth that the board only wanted an Irish manager.
12 month rolling contract, is that not a bit silly? I can understand it with Neil, who was celtic minded, but if Ronny has a great season, what makes him stay? If he wins the league easy, a domestic Cup and Qualifies for Champs League and does not finish last. I'm sure a few will take notice. He could be gone in a year. This is a guy that took 8 years to turn Stromgodset into champions. It will take 2 years before it's Ronny's team playing at Celtic Park. He will need about 3 transfer windows to get his team together and the players he wants.
I'm sure he is probably not on much money neither, so a 3 year contract should been offered.
To be honest, I'm not excited about the signing, but I'm also not like "what the feck" neither. I'll back him, he can't do too much wrong this year.
A few things

Don't worry about the rolling contract. Lenny won three in a row, had a few decent champions league results and still couldnae get an offer from sky. That lad will be going nowhere

Well done Celtic. Better to get with a coach who buys into the modern philosophy. Agree with Mick Dee on Collins. How fit will we be?
Clarke, Coyle, Mackay? England's scrap heap I'd suggest.
Am sure rolling year jobs have been the norm since Martin.
Celtic are taking a chance here but the boy is quoted. We want to succeed in Europe. This is a good time to take risks.
