Kos is great at attacking the ball and there are few who could claim to be better. Mert is great at positioning and covering. That's why they work well as a partnership imo. TV can do both but not each aspect as well as those 2. So as I said TV is a better ALL ROUND defender than Kos imo.

and another thing to back this up. When Mert was brought in, TV was first choice with Mert because he is the better all round defender. He then got injured and we saw that Kos and Mert worked better as a pair.

You can see things like that in other areas as well. For example, when I used to play tennis with a certain group of mates, one would hammer the rest of us at singles, then me and another were fairly close (but I of course think I was better) and the other came in 4th. We generally used to play with me and the guy in 4th at doubles. We worked as a team and were virtually unbeaten amongst our mates and others we played against. Individually not as good, in the right pair facking good. The point being the best player does not always make the best partnership with the wrong pairing.
