At last Mirf, I totally agree with you, Roberts did not look injured in the first half ! His injury did not seem to affect him pointing the finger of blame at all and sundry when he lost possesion Nor when he trudged off at half time, Did it affect his corner kicks ? If it did it must be a longstanding injury, One he cannot seem to shake off.
At last Clarky put a round peg into a round hole when he brought Ward on, Left foot, left wing, Just signed for us, He wants to play for us.
Rhodes n Novak worked well together and looked to have the making of a decent partnership, given time.
I think i said the same thing nigh on two seasons ago ?
I do like DM, He is only a kid, We saw what he could do last season, skills pace a brain and a bit of fire in his belly.
If Clark perseveres DM n Hunt could become a good pairing n Hunt is quick enough to recover from lapses of concentration n lack of positioning to at least apply some pressure to his opponent.
Certainly not convincing but far more exciting than i imagined it would be, Colchester aint a bad team and will take their fair share of scalps and be in and amongst come the end of the season.
Shame Clarky aint found that pacey centre back we have needed for the last two seasons and it is a shame he wont be brave enough to ever try Robinson and Arfield in tandem.

its clear that the 4-5-1 negative approach is still the one to go with, as dull home draws are much easier on the heart and the emotions than exciting high scoring home wins..

I'm not too sure if any of the folk on here are morons...
Maybe we just have different opinions from our own view points....
I basically am over the mooon with yesterdays game. I've got to say it was edge of your seat stuff, but to be honest I enjoyed that game and came away happier than I have for a long time....Maybe Yeovil at home last season, or Walsall away, or even Plymouth at home...You can't beat a good thriller, especially if you come from behind..

i was sat at half time thinking jeez what we gonna do its not looking good for us.

lc grew some balls and took the undroppable roberts off for ward and his explosive introduction in turn giving the crown and the players a massive lift.

players grew in confidence and that second half was a powerful performance and i fear for anyone to dare play us when were playing like that. these players can make it work they just did!
