Another southampton player though? I'm pretty sure a lot of you had higher hopes than that once you got back into top 4. Especially after nearly winning you first PL title.

I'm sure once Suarez goes, you'll buy somebody to replace him too, but I'd be a little worried if I were a scouser at the moment.

I suspect Lovren is a bit better than people may think. Same with Lallana who will suit us perfectly. It's going to be a season of transition but as long as we keep playing good football I'm happy enough and I feel some fans overlook the youth of our overall squad and the ability to keep improving.

We need Sakho to be the player we think he can be so hopefully with his first season under his belt he will form part of a formidable defence and if we get that then we'll be in business.

Herrera is massively overpriced. I think he's quite good but I don't even rate him much higher than Henderson.

Why does Skrtel need to be sold ffs?!

I don't get the pure hatred on our board for Martin he's been our best defender for the last 2 or 3 years.

Really? Myabe 1 season yeah but not for the 2 or 3. Hes a liablity most of the time, and doesnt have that commanding presence hence his mistakes last season. has some good games and his goal ratio was good. I really hope we dont waste 20 mill on Lovern. I rather us go for Hummels any day of the week a better and more solid defender.

Actually three seasons back he was our player of the season and last season he was our best defender. So yeah, really.

Just because he's been our best defender, doesn't make him any less of a liability. He has at least one real goal chance mistake in him virtually every game, and all season he was wrestling players in the box. It's a miracle he didn't give away constant penalties. He should be third choice or sold.

All that whilst being our best defender so what's that say about the others? Surely they should be sold first in that case?
