It would appear Youngy has been dropped by Radio Leicester and Stringer will have a new summariser this coming season.
Stringy made a comment on his twitter page
Alan Young dropped by Radio Leicester

Stringer's talking about it right now on the Football Forum, interviewing his manager's manager. Brave lad. Or maybe foolhardy...

And that was awkward, to say the least. Worth a listen if you're interested in the situation though.

Awkward indeed ! Whatever happened its clear hes not wanted and is not coming back now back to the football.

Can you summarise for me Dunge?

Yep, Leicester's answer to Paxman had my toes curling again. Thought the question about 'Have you offered Alan Young any help with the issue that has meant his contract isn't being renewed' was a step too far though. It didn't leave much to the imagination as to what the problem might be.

Hard to summarise Mersey, because it was the way things were said as much as what was said. But essentially I can't imagine many people would have the balls to interview their manager's manager that way and then air the result.
As Fox_14 says, that question was one of the ones that stood out. But essentially Stringer didn't give him anywhere near an easy time. It sounded like Stringer was rather demanding the to know the answers himself at times, as opposed to simply giving the guy a platform to explain. It's quite an interview if you can get hold of the show on iPlayer, and I my explanations can't fully do it justice.

Hopefully they will sack stringer too

According to his Facebook status, Youngy has got a meeting with the powers that be a BBC RL today.
I, for one, hope they do reinstate him. His commentary is first class and, as annoying as Stringer is, they are a good double act.
Hope he's still here next season, albeit I'll only be tuning in for away games.
Good luck Youn9y.

Update - Radio Leicester are standing by their original decision.
Gutted for Youngy.
So who is the new summariser going to be? I wouldn't be surprised if was Walshy.

I'd be more than happy if Steve Walsh steps forward.
I think he comes across very polite and well informed whenever he is called to summarise for Sky. If he adopts a similar stance in the radio commentary box then he's the ideal man.
