Also dunc, there were rumours ( granted they may not be true but also it possible they were true) that the guys who bought city looked at us before the purchased city, but bill wanted to remain as chairman.

I agree we do seem to be good at creating a positive PR story at the right moment to cover the cracks.

I think the average fan is still just about on board and believes that the club is kind of going in the right direction, at least on the pitch under Martinez.

However I do feel if we have one more stadium plan that falls through its curtains for the Bill and co. Bill strikes me as a guy who like to be loved by the fans, if they properly turned on him I'm pretty sure he'd go.

I think he still has the backing of the majority of fans, a lot of that due to him being a blue. Do you think if he wasn't a blue then fans would have turned against him by now? As arouna mentioned its not just him we have other major share holders/board members that do not appear to be doing much. So it makes me think ( just my opinion not fact based) that they are just sitting on there shares to get a high as possible price. Which could have had a negative effect on bills alleged 24/7 search.

Being a blue definitely helps keep the fans on side

I would take a guess that we are. You can only sell something if there is interest/money to be made. The best business plan in the world will not make us a global marketing dream. For all it is worth would you want to become a rich mans toy?

I suppose I just want to think we still have the potential to be a big club again. I suppose I will just have to accept celebrating mediocrity. I understand we can't sign deals like untied & the shîtei just hoped for better than we have been doing.
As far as being a billionairs plaything, it wouldn't be all bad but suppose it wouldn't be all good either. One thing is for sure as much as you might think I have it in for Bill & Co, I will still go the match & cheer on the boys

FFP means that money can't be thrown at teams now as it was done in the past, I don't celebrate finishing 4,5,6,7th. Like you I just indulge in my passion each week.
