Before you all slaughter me for what I'm about to say, I want you to remember that I have the love of my club (Arsenal) at heart and I know that Wenger has already made some pivotal, and somewhat unexpected, signing. However, I'm beginning to wonder if Arsenal needs an absolute trouncing in pre season, or a series of no scoring before Wenger realises that he must buy a striker to complete the squad that he has put together. Giroud and Sonogoal are not the answer!
Wenger is stubborn, we all know that. It once again appears that he does not see what we can all see. It took a humiliating event like the one I am speaking of at the hands of Man Utd some seasons ago before Wenger woke up and bought a job lot of 5 players. If we don't buy a striker, finishing fourth will be an achievement.
What's it gonna take?

Hunting for glory.
In exchange for established quality, I would seriously consider letting one of the following go: Sanogo, Iwobi, Akpom or Afobe. I know that we have to invest in youth, but if they are not ready then they are not ready.

All those players are Under 21(i believe) and i dont think Under 21 players are counted in the 25 man squad.

What would Stuart Pierce Do?
I have often suspected that we suffer more injuries than other clubs but seeing those stats in black and white (red and white) is startling!

I wouldn't be surprised to see a last-minute deadline day attempted loan or cheapo signing up front (like Ba was supposed to be last year).
I also wouldn't be surprised to see no more signings.
I am rarely surprised by stuff.

Looking for internal solutions even though we have £100m in the bank, very clever Arsene.

The question still remains, who do we get rid off to sign new players?
I think Coquelin is an obvious one, some have suggested Poldi or Campbell, but i would keep both.
To be honest its a tough 1

The injuries are a problem, but the length of time some of the players are out is more startling.

My understanding of the 25 man squad rules are that teams can supplement their squads with an unlimited number of players that are under 21.
So while we have already have a number of ‘home grown’ players (eight required) we also have a couple (Gnabry, Zelalem spring to mind) under the age of 21 that would not contribute to the 25.
