Arsenal team yesterday

I keep hearing people going on about how depleted Arsenal were yesterday but tbh there was no one really missing who would have made a massive difference!

It is well known Arsenal only have/had 3 genuine top draw players and 2 (RVP and Nasri) of the 3 played yesterday (admittedly Fabregas is a big loss), but come on do u really think the likes of Song, Wilshere etc would have made a massive difference?

Song and Wilshere are decent but LFC were missing Gerrard who is in a different league to Song and Wilshere, if LFC had started with Raul and Suarez the scoreline would have been a lot bigger!

People got to remember LFC are bedding in a lot of new players atm, still creating a way of playing under Kenny also, this LFC team will get better as the season goes on!

LFC were comfortable throughout the game yesterday despite there being a lot more to come, and dont forget, u couldnt beat an even more depleted LFC team at the emirates in May when u had a full strength team and were fighting for the title!

Better squad? maybe so, lets see

goalkeepers Reina and Doni.
Right back- Johnson, Kelly, Flanagan
Centre backs - Carragher, Agger, Skrtel, Kyrgiakos, Wilson
Left back - Enrique, Robinson
Defensive midfielder - Lucas, Spearing, Poulsen
Midfielders - Aquilani, Adam, Henderson
Attacking midfielders - Gerrard, Mereiles, Cole, Maxi, Downing,
Forwards - Carroll, Suarez, N'gog.

That is a strong squad with improvements needed in the forward line.
All of those players have experience in playing in the top flight.

I don't think Arsenal have got much in the way of comparison.

I do apologise if this is on the Arsenal board as well. I only go via on the Liverpool board and forget that you can post to more than one board at a time. If I create a post I only put it for Liverpool.

2 goals, a clean sheet and 3 points. That's all I'm bothered about; Arsenal's squad, or indeed any other EPL squad, is of no concern to me.

Our squad, our performance and our results are all that concern me.

Arsenal fans just don't get it. They keep posting on our board telling us they had a rubbish team out yesterday. So what that's Arsenes problem not ours.

Perhaps this will help:

Arsenal you were rubbish yesterday playing far too many youngsters, and not standing an earthly against our average bunch of expensive flops.

Now will you gooners all go back to your own board? Pleeeeeease?

Aggers right elbow,

This is on our board.

ThePowerRules Arsenals strength lies in their teamwork. Although we won yesterday, don't take anything away from the gooners. As the game amply demonstrated, only one team played consistent pass-and-move, and it wasn't us. We played more of a pass-and-pass game, (yes at times we did move) with little end product. That teamwork, despite the loss of players, was/is down to their manager. End of. JimmyTheRed
