United's huge advantage in the Premiership

Looks like the biggest club in the World could
end up playing only 40 competitive games this season.

Considering they've spent the most in the transfer market over
the Summer and all their rivals will be playing 50 games minimum.
Then United under the stewardship of proven winner LVG should
be a shoe in for the top 4 and a strong contender to win the league.

Which team will be replaced in the top 4 by the Worlds biggest club?

Discuss.

Surely last night's result is a bigger low than Moyes ever took you to?

he took us from 1 st to 7th.

tbh going out in the league cup with a reserve side, even taking one hell of a beating, is nowhere near as bad as that.

Are people more willing to give van Gaal time because he's a 'character'?

Not at all. Getting hammered by our 2 biggest rivals at OT is a lot worse than losing to mk dons with a reserve team out

I suppose.

It's not really a reflection on your first team but it does contribute to the removal of the overall fear factor that Utd have. Teams aren't scared of you any more.

Well, apart from Arsenal obviously

Agreed.

We are evidently still bouncing along the bottom, the place that last season took us. However, we have a much better coach and a number of talented new players to bed in. It's painful to watch but I think most of us expect to see an upward trajectory this season.

A club,a manager, and a squad of players all used to playing most midweeks due to European and domestic cup competitions now with less games to play to help gel the team together.

Surely staying in the league cup would have given LVG more game time to experiment with formations and different squad members.

How will your senior players react this season as they are all used to playing pressure midweek games and instead they'll be watching the Champions league games on TV whilst sipping their £300 bottles of champagne with their other half
