We are no longer a member of the European elite so UEFA will make it that we have a very difficult group.

I know that some people still believe that the draws are 'random' but how many of these 'random' draws have given very easy groups to the elite teams.

Call me a cynic but I will believe these draws are fixed until I see a group consisting of

Real Madrid
PSG
Bayer Leverkusen
AS Roma


More likely a group like this will appear:
Real Madrid OR Barcelona OR Bayern Munich
FC Basel
Sporting Lisbon
Ludogorets Razgrad.

I know that the chances of one of them groups happening are 1 in 512 so highly unlikely but I would not be surprised to see one of the top 3 in pot 1 get at least 2 of the bottom ranked teams from remaining groups.

In all likelihood we will end up with a difficult group. Of course if that so happens, Glenghis will use it as further evidence of Uefa wrongdoing.

It wouldn't have anything to do with us being in the third pot, nor there being a number of good sides around us.

A lot of fellow supporters have been hoping for a big name in our group.

Obviously we all want to see them at Anfield but i'll be happy with the 3 weakest teams possible and hopefully easy entry into the KO rounds and more co-efficient points for future campaigns.

Why would anyone want a big name in the group stage? if you get through you can get a big name in the knockout

Currently happy with:
Real Madrid, Basel, Liverpool

Bloody hell I am surprised. I wasn't expecting Liverpool to get the Lisbon spot but am very happy with that draw.

Bring it on
