Pains me to say but the kid is or is soon going to be world class. Not necessarily based on tonight although he played well but he's got everything. The England team should be built around him.
Sadly with the purchase of Di Maria and the wing back system I can't see Adnan progressing so well at United. He might need to leave to reach his potential. Really can't see where he fits in.
We done Liverpool, you have a player on your hands.

Shows how important playing regularly during such an important period of development is, especially when you have a manager who believes in you and allows you to flourish and express yourself.
I hope similar things can happen with Januzaj but right now he's a bit off Sterling in terms of development.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes that's true. Unfortunately for you with the money you have spent and attacking players you have a youngster like Januzaj will probably be expected to prolong his apprenticeship.
It shows the dilemmas at a big club because chances shouldn't be afforded to youngsters often as that dilutes quality but Januzaj is definitely worth the plunge.
The only respite Utd probably have is a loan to a really competitive team with a manager of great tactical and management prowess. In the prem everton is the strongest team that May loan him but there are others that he could flourish in (Southampton and if he is willing to do it himself Newcastle) but European loans shouldn't be dismissed- top teams are willing to take anything from large English clubs these days.
Too class youth is the key component of most clubs. Without that you need large changes often which can really change the style if okay and while approach if the club- traditions are key for both the stature/symbolism and performances of a club
As you can see I take youth development seriously as I think it can keep you a top team but then again this could be the effect of 17 years of wenger!

True although I do think Januzaj has a good chance of games at United to develop, whether he gets enough is another matter. For selfish reasons I would rather keep him as I think he can help the squad but possibly for his own good a loan to good side where he is guaranteed games week in week out could be more beneficial to him. Regular game time at this stage of his career is crucial IMO.

manutd1982, his level of involvement probably in part depends on what system(s) LVG will use. Players with like him can learn from the wings and the no.10 position but wingback is physically draining and probably selfless with your strike force.
He could take the next step by being a bit-part player too as sometimes one is forced to perform amazingly with the limited chances one gets plus the benefit of too coaching/ training sessions.
I guess the rise of sterling shows us what can be. Coaxing talent out isn't easy but it is worth it. At arsenal I know we are seen as weaker by other top teams but of the exciting talents only Ramsey and Walcott are now performing regularly. Wilshere, ox, gnabry, chambers and bellerin are players we think can become top performers soon.
It's a shame for you that your talented defensive players have been left to fend for themselves as an experienced head/ top performer may have dragged the class out of jones and co sooner

People are ready writing him off for having games without any idea how LVG is going to set up his teams.

LVG has said he will work with the youth sides going forward but for now his priority has to be getting the first team competitive, and I agree. Januzaj can only improve working with the likes LVG mata and Di Maria and will get plenty if football in the coming seasons.

You brought Raheem Sterling
He has the potential to be world class, not something I say lightly. His run on the weekend was just phenomenal, it was a shame he had a brain fart and couldn't finish it.

liverpool spent over 100M !
----------------------------------------------------------------------
True but we recouped around 80mil
United on the other hand have hardly recouped anything.
Thus, we're building a team by selling off assets whereas United are just splurging
