Only makes England squad behind Clyne and due to an injury to Stones.
And he thought he got lucky being transfered to Arsenal as his game time would have been limited at Southampton due to the quality of players in his preferred position.
Chambers....

It may have been 180 minutes, but what do he give to the side. Well a booking against world minnows and more bad touches than a Sunday league player.
It was nice to see him start a game and not get booked in Estonia......I guess hardly getting a kick helps.....the focus of play was down our left funnily enough

Yes. That backs up your claims in the article and prior to kick off v San Marino.
Oh hang on...

Wtf?!
England's left hand play was totally unproductive, mainly due to being completely weighed down by the immobile Baines. All the Estonia match served to do was to highlight his limitations.
True, Chambers gave the ball away a number of times, but at least he was trying to get forward and help create chances in the final third.
The only thing Baines did was stand seemingly routed to the halfway line and pass the ball backwards to Jagielka.
Apart from the reckless booking he picked up, it was almost as if he wasn't there at all.
Here's to the future then.

Yeah, I'm sure if Stone played, the focus of England's play would have been on the right side.

I assume Glen Johnson replaced Chambers in the England squad announced today?

He played his part in a proud loss at Madrid so should make it. Chambers will be good odds for a booking and being part of a leaky defence
