It can't be helped that we couldn't persuade him to join, and while he's not as good as Suarez he would have provided much needed balance to our attack. It's a machine that drove the rest of the team last season and it's clear now that without Suarez and Sturridge involved that there are very few outlets for our midfielders to hit this season.
And boy the players really need to take a look at themselves this season. Most of them haven't been able to adjust to a step up in class that the CL brings. And the new players brought in have contributed very little so far which has compounded the problem further.
Brendan is a fine young manager but completely out on a limb having been let down by players who were in good form last season but just don't seem to be able to adjust to life without Luis Suarez.
It's time for those who want to be seen as real Liverpool players to step up the plate and perform. There will be no hiding places this season.

Sanchez had two options:
Liverpool who were about to sell Suarez leaving the possibility of having to play with Ricky Lambert and Lallana
Or
Arsenal who maintained their world CL proven stars like Ozil (yeah he has been poor for Arsenal), Carzorla, Walcott etc etc.

Absolutely agree 100%.
However if you'd told Sanchez, that not only do we want to sign him but we'll be going all out for Reus, Song (because we really are missing a DM - Gerrard is not one of these) and possibly Khedira as well then maybe just maybe he would have signed.

Suarez was a damaged goods biter of opposition and the only other club interested was Spurs
we have NEVER gone head to head with a top tier club and came out on top
we're a 3rd tier club. and we're not even top of that 3rd tier, Arsenal are
