Of chelsea
Has it changed ?
In recent years we could probably agree that on the odd occasion there was a lot of anti chelsea literature written about our club
However, this season there is a stark difference.
We came away from anfield with a win last season effectively destroying liverfools PL hopes. With that came a barrage of abuse , "parked the bus" they said. Liverfools contingent of ex players / pundits were critical. The media backlash ensued and not for the first time.
This is just one example in recent memory but there are many more
For the record I couldn't give a flying feck
However this season I only ever see positive reinforcement, ? Is this just my perception or are we now seen as a club doing the right thing, with a top class manager / character in jose ?
Has it changed or is it just my perception, is there now a recognition of a club who have embraced ffp with open arms whilst remaining competitive ?
We have players like Fabregas, hazard and diego Costa doing the business on the pitch, whilst our back office team work wonders in the transfer market and global marketing campaigns.
United now, have fallen short in the media view, under Ferguson they were an anomaly but have now for me, lost their sole spending rediculous money on a mosh mash of "superstars" without any real effect. LIVERPOOL and Brenden quickly becoming a joke as they have also spent vast sums of cash on very average players.
Is there a tide changing with our club, are we now ready to push on as a dominant force in English football, not only on the pitch but in the eyes of the pundits and writers who have the control to elevate us to that level ?

Hmmm. It's starting to change.
We'll never be like utd or Liverpool though
They'll always be known as the traditional big two who would never buy their way to success while we'll always be known as the club that got lucky. May be true to some extent but how long will we have that tag for.
We've worked hard off the pitch to improve our revenues, improve our infrastructure, youth setup, we're in the black now for this year so things are heading the right away. We always put up a good account of our selves in the champions league year after year whilst other clubs who have money thrown at their teams aswell cannot do the same. Gotta get some credit at some point surely.

Give it 20-30 years and that will have changed IMO. Assuming Chelsea manage to keep up their progress and don't fall away you'll slowly start to be thought off the same way as United and Liverpool.
TBH I think you'll take over Liverpool in recognition as time goes on unless they radically change as they've only won a league cup in the last 8 years....
Liverpool will start to be thought of more as an historical club that competes now and again whilst you'll replace them as one of the bigger clubs.

Agree 7. We need to cement our place as a domestic heavyweight first by winning titles. It all starts from there

I don't think the media perception has changed much at all towards us. I think it's more to do with the fact that there is nothing bad to write about us this season.
We had an excellent summer transfer window, we're playing very good football and we're top of both the league and our CL group.
As soon as anything goes wrong they'll be over us like a rash and will make up for lost time most probably. They still hate us, don't worry about that.
