Got to build us up every now and again in order to tear us down.
I believe that to a degree but I also think think there is some genuine respect for what Chelsea have achieved over the past decade and what team we're putting together now, we are the leagues only real hope to represent against and beat the very best in Europe. At a time when we've slipped back a bit compared to some of Europe Chelsea are bridging that gap and it is good for the PL.
You're not boring to watch and more adventurous than last year so you're more likeable
It's not a rocket sconce
I find these days on the whole the media steer clear of CFC as regular back page headliners.
On the whole when stuff is printed it has a negative slant, on the occasion when it is positive it seems to printed begrudgingly.
Or its prepping us for a fall.
Sometimes i feel its my paranoia ,but day after day its evident.
The one thing which has happened they have stopped out right slandering the club and posting absurd stories.
I firmly believe the club have put them on notice they will be sued if they keep abusing CFC.
We get one positive stories to every 10 with a negative slant.
Ah fck em !
Hmmm. It's starting to change.
We'll never be like utd or Liverpool though
They'll always be known as the traditional big two who would never buy their way to success while we'll always be known as the club that got lucky. May be true to some extent but how long will we have that tag for.
We've worked hard off the pitch to improve our revenues, improve our infrastructure, youth setup, we're in the black now for this year so things are heading the right away. We always put up a good account of our selves in the champions league year after year whilst other clubs who have money thrown at their teams aswell cannot do the same. Gotta get some credit at some point surely.

Doesn't bother me even though I wrote that paragraph pleading for recognition
I know what the status quo is though. I know it's there
They have tried in goading Abramovich for an exclusive interview for over a decade. It didn't work.
It's Good Cop approach now
Fk the media and fk the haters.

Comment that'll probably go down like a lead balloon, but besides the occasions Jose manufactured it back in his first reign, I don't see this massive media bias against us that a lot of Chelsea fans have down the years?
I've obviously noticed the strong favouritism towards United for years, and with ourselves being a big rival to them for a while we got all the negative spin tricks when put in context against United. And it was clearly hard to miss during AVB's tenure but that was an attack strictly on the manager. I've not picked up on any pre-mediated media segregation of our club for a very long time now.

Give it 20-30 years and that will have changed IMO. Assuming Chelsea manage to keep up their progress and don't fall away you'll slowly start to be thought off the same way as United and Liverpool.
TBH I think you'll take over Liverpool in recognition as time goes on unless they radically change as they've only won a league cup in the last 8 years....
Liverpool will start to be thought of more as an historical club that competes now and again whilst you'll replace them as one of the bigger clubs.
Agree 7. We need to cement our place as a domestic heavyweight first by winning titles. It all starts from there
