Raheem Sterling

If you don't want to play for your country, then just say it and please fack off. First being 'too tired' to play and then putting in a pathetic excuse for a challenge a matter of minutes coming off the pitch. Compare that to Welbeck busting a gut when carrying an injury - if you have no commitment for your country then simply do not play.

On a separate note, that was a very good performance. The team looks balanced and motivated (probably now that the old guard have facked off). I think Lallana should have a spot in the starting XI though.

Sterling is young. Let's not go overboard. He has talent in abundance. When wilshere was getting all the stick, I wouldn't buy it. The guy will be class.

Why do England fans jump on our best players when they are young?

Amazes me to be honest

England only looks good when pressure is off, just saying.

Truth is Scotland didn't really do anything to threaten us, the only good move they put together ended in a goal too. Their left back Robertson looks promising.

idiot OP, he was too tired to make a proper challenge and no-one believed him.

Then when he is finally proven correct, you blame him!!!

Liverpool fans thought Henderson was better than Wilshere against Slovenia

our first goal was a hoof from miles away from goal

what a load of shat, I suppose if it was henderson or gerrard that did that it would be a "hoof" too

Bit harsh on Sterling I think Bats, but his defensive performance was trash. Not sure why young raheem is off form at the moment, but he's still a very good player for the squad, at the very least.

Overall I think it was a very comfortable performance from England. Perhaps the perception that Scotland will put in a tough tackling, high intensity game prompted England to pressure throughout the game.

Thought we were the better team in the first half and pretty much one-sided in the second. But we shouldn't get ahead of ourselves, Scotland are a píss poor side with Championship quality players, at best.

Happy with the performances of the Arsenal boys. Wilshere has to start over Ramsey, for me. At least in that deep lying midfield role. Quite surprised by his accurate range of passing. He had that touch early in his Arsenal career but somehow got lost when he decided to opt for the dribble route. Oxlade was a lot more dangerous in the 2nd half. Welbeck had a decent workman like performance up top.
