they were wrong about Sherwood?
He took over the squad half way through the season with no choice of transfers etc, he has the highest win rate of a spurs manager in the premier league era.
Even when we won games people on this board still gave abuse saying it doesn't matter as it was against an easy team, he is a cant etc etc. Yet look at us now, simple things Poch cannot get right.
I done an article at the end of the season saying give Sherwood a chance and think there was only one or two people agreed the rest were adamant he had to go and some people went even further and gave a bit of abuse towards me for even making such an article.
Especially the poster grandspurs who was calling me an idiot and saying it was the worst article ever!
So I would like to ask these same people if you think we are better off now?
Is it because Sherwood having a cockney accent he couldn't do tactics? we need a guy to come out in the interview after the game with a foreign accent and not say anything too controversial?
Well so far Poch still doesn't understand we need width in the team, I don't remember Sherwood getting basic things like that wrong.
Also little was said about what Poch said after the Chelsea game when he said we were the better team. That is laughable and I'm sorry but had Sherwood of said that than this board would have been unforgivable to him.
Oh and by the way under Sherwood we beat palace 2-0 and remember palace being a much harder team to beat under pulis.
Are people now going to admit

He is so desperate to use his left foot.
The only place for him is left midfield for me, but even then we have better options coming in from the left.
If we get a good offer, anywhere around the 15/20m mark, I'd snap your hand off

I disagree RE Poch being lopsided but Sherwood not. Under Poch we look weak on the flanks but strong in the middle, under Sherwood we look weak in the middle but strong in the flanks. It is lopsided to play two CM's when one is Chadli, or Eriksen, or Siggurdson.
-----------
If that happened every game I'd agree with you, butwe probably did that on about 2/3 occasions .
Poch has only got it right a couple of times, and the majority of times has it wrong
----------------------------------------------------------------------
VS WHU & Saints (first two games) he played Siggs in a nonsensical midfield two.
Against WBA he played a ridiculous bank of four that comprised of Holtby/Eriksen/Siggs/Chadli.
Against Chelsea he played the most unbalanced team I have seen in a long time.
Vs Southampton again Siggs played 45 mins in a midfield two.
Vs Liverpool it was Bentaleb/Siggs for the game.
Vs Sunderland it was Chadli/Paulinho
Vs WBA it was the same Chadli/Paulinho combo
and again vs Fulham & Stoke
Paulinho/Siggs against WHU 2-0
I count that as 11 times that we played an unbalanced midfield under Sherwood, which is exactly my point. I don't mind Poch criticism's as he has made quite a few glaring errors already, but it is bizarre to be so short-sided when it came to the equally error-prone Sherwood.

He did alright. has to take his part of the responsibility for the first, but he wasn't playing right back.
We played much better on Wednesday than we did yesterday though. Chelsea would have put 5 or 6 past us on that showing, it was diabolical.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That's the thing though, we seem to be more geared up for games against opposition like City, Everton and Chelsea. Play us against some lower league team in not so good form and we don't turn up.

I suppose the major difference is that Sherwood still picked up results in some of the games he did it - winning 5 of the 11.
And in the games he didn't, we picked up lots of points.
Whereas under Poch we have looked much worse, and unconvincing for the majority of the games

Sherwood came in when there was no pressure in the league and the few high-pressure games (cup games) we did play in, we capitulated.

Does anyone honestly think that Sherwood with Spurs would challenge for titles and top 4, longterm?

What about the pressure the fans had him under? The general feeling of dislike towards him.
It's a bit of a cop out to say no pressure. Was Poch under pressure really? Nobody expected anything amazing this season, mostvhappy with top 7 and improving performances, and he has had an awful lot of leeway early on.
Give Sherwood his credit - he knew how to get results against teams outside the top four. If we could replicate that now we'd be in the top four ourselves, and quite comfortably

if you look at AVB's full tenure, then so did he….
sherwood deserves credit for bringing through bentaleb and giving kane a shot.
thats about it

Except for WHU, or WBA, or a few others.
I think Sherwood was actually exactly what was needed for this club as an Interim manager. He told all the egos off, made everyone realise that they are droppable, and blooded through some youngsters that have really excelled this season (Kane/Bentaleb).
I don't think he had it in him to progress us.

Haha thanks for replying though.
So what you are basically saying is that Sherwood is better than Poch?
Thanks for clearing that up.

At this moment in time YOU would be a better option than MP and IMO you are totally clueless.
MP may given time get it right Sherwood would never have got it right in a million years which is why he is still out of work.

Whats up mate taking things personally I thought it was pure banter and wind ups on this board that what you told me a long while back and now you are getting all upset
