So regardless if we were winning most games you wouldn't want him because in interviews he came across as arrogant and brash?
sherwood?
oh facking hell
that was a ticking time bomb
I don't remember Sherwood getting basic things like that wrong.

Was it because we were winning lots of games, not really the spurs way?

I think Sherwood clearly saw what the underlying problems in the Spurs squad were but perhaps channeled his finding in an unlikable
Manner. Perhaps he lacked the experience to sort te team out. And perhaps the higher archy got twitchy about letting an inexperienced manager tear up a multi million pound squad so though the current manager was better suited to get more out of what he has however it would appear that the same problems are still there and a rehaul will happen reguardless it's really up to the board to back a manager and give him time to furfill perhaps a 3-5 year project.::

no. it was because he was at war with half the squad, kept mouthing off in the press about anything and everything, and did stupid things like playing Chadli as a central midfielder

Really, he took over as a rookie and so learnt as he went along so he changed things in games. Now this is not the first managers job for Poch yet he keeps making the same mistakes.
Tell me why Poch has been better.

He could of won every game and some fans would of still wanted him out. Seems he was spot on regarding the players. Didn't see today's game due to christening but seems poch does not learn from mistakes or even when he makes right decisions. .. think he will be gone very soon unless he learn's the Tottenham way which is to attack and entertain the fans .

playing the spurs way = blowing promising positions, getting spanked a few times a season, and making ridiculous defensive faack ups all the time.

because he hasn't been embarrassing himself and the club in the press. that is good enough for me.
lets be honest, sherwood did some good things….bentaleb etc… but we were like a kids team.. the team had no structure.. all out attack.
siggy and chadli in CM
going 3-0 down to west brom in 30 mins
etc.

all this playing the spurs way doesn't mean anything to anyone born after about 1980.
in my 20 plus years watching spurs it has largely been absolute bollox, with the odd relegation scrap to keep me on my toes.

Very good point. Sherwood said he didn't want new players in he wanted to get rid of the bad apples. He was never given a chance. He also knew our academy inside out.
OP...Give it a rest....
Sherwood was not up to the task. Neither may Poch but at least I'm prepared to give him more than half a season before I start moaning about keeping a manager without his badges that achieved very little.

Going 3-0 down and yet still getting a result! Personally I don't care what the manager says after a game if we were winning, I didn't realise how sensitive some spurs fans are.

Achieved little yet has the highest win percentage of any spurs manager in the premiership era.
How bad is Poch looking if a rookie manager has performed better.
