Obviously City have gained 3 points on us today after we lost for the first time this season, and pretty much wiped out our comfortable looking lead. However City's best and most in-form player has been effectively ruled out for the season.
So, thoughts? Are we in a better position to win the title now than 24 hours ago?
Yes we are in a better position - 5,4 or 3
No we are in a worse position - 2 or 1
Better chance of the title?

I don't remember any other team being hyped up as much as us over our unbeaten run.

I have been saying all season that whilst we are much improved on last season, we are far from the perfect team being portrayed in the media. Pardew saying that Newcastle beat the bestvteam in Europe today ffs....Just by what criteria have we earnt that tag?

If we get 90 points and City still beat us, the amount of whinging that will go on here will be unbearable! People need to realise, we can have
a great PL season, and still lose the title to City.

Apparently not. Thats called bottling it.

I don't know how you can bottle the title if you get between 88-90 points in the league. By that I mean a great season.

It's settled then is it, Chelsea or City for the title?

Newcastle and Sunderland have shown we can be stopped. No width again yesterday, Jose not learnt from last weeks draw vs Sunderland. We play in the middle far far too much and are obvious

I think Chelsea have blown any chance they had after yesterday.

Completely different games imo. We created many chances yesterday; just couldn't finish them. But I agree with you that we need more width in our play.

I think maybe he did learn, and that is why he swapped Luis for Azpi, but too late to save the game

We played better yesterday than we did agst Sunderland. I am fairly confident yesterday's performance would have been good enough at the Stadium of Light...but we were really bad in that game.
Yesterday we were not great and played agst a Newcastle that played very well in terms of their game plan.
But agree, width is the issue when playing teams who set up in this way and Jose has to be quicker to react in future and wing back play is the only way imo
