Duncan Edwards The Greatest

Do you know who Duncan Edwards is? If you don't then as a United fan you're missing out and what the club is all about. Without question Edwards was the best player we ever had, and in a way, never had.

Here's a video Mark Goldbridge put together and it's well worth a watch for anyone who proclaims to support the club but doesn't know our history.

My pal who is also a city fan, has a program from the first game at Old Trafford after the Munich crash. It came from his dad who was a red. In the program it asks for prayers for Duncan Edwads recovery. It is overwhelmingly sad to read it.

What a load if rubbish. I don't know any United fans that don't know about Edwards with the exception of perhaps some young kids. The lad in the video is annoying too. Couldn't watch the video because of him.

Your name isn't Dunc?

Does that mean Elvis isn't called Elvis?

Comments like "imagine losing a 20 year old beckham or Rooney, but times 10" don't help him.

That program is something I'd love to read. Must be very precious to him. I always find it amusing how many posters on this forum arrogantly go on the offensive about this sort of thing. To me it's a good thing that threads like this are made because it gets people thinking about the players behind the tragedy. And what a set of players they were. As the video comments, Tommy Taylor was the most prolific footballer in world football when he died. Has to be one of United's best ever goalscorers.

Mark Goldbridge? No. I like his style though. Divides opinion but know his stuff unlike most of the youtube United wannabe's who are only interested in saying what people want to hear. Mark does have a bit of a face you'd like to slap but once you get past that his opinions are good.
