It seems there is an effort to get #GeorgeBestsaturday trending on twitter today, which is somewhat apt when I'm sat here watching Soccer Saturday. Without doubt Soccer Saturday was a far better show when George was a regular so it's good to remember him and what a legend he was for United.
Watching the below video it really brought home how as good as George was his United career was effectively over when he was 22 after the 1968 European cup win. Never again would he have a team good enough around him to win major honours and as we all know his life became dictated by the showbiz lifestyle.

It was a sad time here,as we lost family and friends in that period of time, and my wife's best mate passed away, aged 39,and they played Everybody Hurts by REM,as her coffin went out of church.
Not a dry eye.
