Yes thought that was a bit odd. Although southern Ireland has a huge United following and they may see George as one of their own? As we all know many in the south don't differentiate between the two they see it as one Ireland. I'd agree though, Manchester was probably the most sombre place that night.

That is mad,as I now remember I had crashed my motorbike in November,and could not make the funeral in December,up at Stormont.
Awful dark day,as I watched it all on TV.

Glad I got to watch him play a few times.

I remember watching it on the telly, and being shocked at just how many thousands of people lined the streets, the last time I saw that was when Princess Diana died, just shows how loved he was by the public and football fans alike

Yup,East Belfast was packed,and all of our NI supporters club made it,except moi.

Can't remember the blokes name, but the guy who sang at his funeral was amazing, really emotional day

It was as they carried his coffin out I think

It was a sad time here,as we lost family and friends in that period of time,and my wife's best mate passed away,aged 39,and they played Everybody Hurts by REM,as her coffin went out of church.

Not a dry eye.

My dad has requested Another One bites the Dust by Queen at his funeral

Hopefully mine is at least 50 years away, so not planning it yet
