Danny Ings

Big rumours on twitter that we are in for him.

Thoughts?

Personally I think it's a Levy signing. Getting him on the cheap and then flipping him later if it doesn't pay off.

I admit we need someone as back up / rotation for Kane but I'm not convinced Ings is the man.

Having said that, he has 5 league goals this season playing for a team scrapping for survival. Soldado has 7 since he joined us.

As for Ade, I think we know...

Id take Ings in a heartbeat. (if there is truth in the rumours)

A massive upgrade on Adebayor and Solado.

He scores goals, has pace and good strength and technically very good too.

Why would Burnley sell Ings this January?

He is essential to their survival this year. Another season in the Prem is worth far more financially to Burnley than his actual worth in the transfer market.

Don't get me wrong - I think he'd be the perfect foil for Kane

Thoughts?

This is laughable if it happens. More squad players. Fantastic.

People also used to say that about Danny Rose.

And they still say it

I have no problem with Ings as a striker option however a slight word of caution on my part is Our signings should be more about the style and mentality of player rather than if they are supposed top 4 quality.

In my opinion we need a strong focal point of attack. Afterall Poch used Ricky Lambert at southampton and used Osvaldo at espanol so in my view he needs a striker of this mould.

Strong with a good touch and good footballing brain. I haven't seen Ings much but of he fits this mould then all good.
