You are only as good as the people around you.
I may have missed comment on SP's 2 "right" hand men, Wigley & Eastwick.
Stuart has regularly had these two by his "side" during his management career & there may lie part of the problem. Wigley is apparently fine when involved at academy level but his CV is less than average when looked at outside of this.(Didn't rate him as a player with us either) Eastwick, 14% win ratio as manager of Newport & then lots of silent average back room staff jobs here & there. Made a good career of it & made it in work at the age of 63.
SP is utimately responsible & if there were changes I would want Wigley & Eastwick gone too. Wigley looks clueless as an advisor to SP on the bench & Eastwick seems to say very little to nothing.
Perhaps find SP a job in the club that involves him in the skills he is best at & that I fear is not team affairs.
You are only as good....

its hard to find an argument to support the current boss and his team I'll admit but I just don't see a change now paying dividends. Pearce has signed two players already. That would give an incoming manager even less scope for making signings of their own.
I still haven't heard anyone come up with a convincing alternative manager yet too.

Despite what Len says, these are good points. I've been saying for a while Pearce should look to get some better coaches in. We only have to look at our most successful manager to realise that having a quality no.2 can be difference between winning trophies and getting relegated.

SteveB ... That's a really valid point!
One of Nigel Clough's failings at Derby was having complete Muppets alongside him.
When rumours were afoot about Steve McClaren prior to joining, the jury was out initially. But when we began hearing about Paul Simpson and Eric Steele, it got interesting!
A young manager like Stuart Pearce probably needs something similar?

Unless this is the first appointment in the history of football whereby a team is collapsing all around the place and everyone from the tea lady to the cleaning staff are to blame before our 'legend' manager!
----------------------------------------------------------------
Really? Collapsing all around? We are mid table! We are not blackpool at the start of the season are we?
I find the belief that we need to sack another manager bordering on moronic. Can you not understand that sometimes it takes a while for things to work in football. I keep using the same analogy but it really does apply. Some of you people would have sacked SAF at united before he could have turned things around. We are talking 6 months! thats nothing in football!
I presume you would then sack another manager if we are not in the play off places the same time next season also? Realistically how long could you go on with this policy? Could we have had 10 managers in 5 years soon? And who out there do you think would suddenly be good enough to get this team promoted instantly? With every sacking our chances of getting promoted get worse. If there was a better manager than SP who wanted the job then wouldnt he have been offered it in the first place? Too many good managers have turned us down and that sets alarm bells ringing for potential managers.
Stability is the only way to bring success to a football club. It really isn't rocket science is it. I am so glad that most of you wanting another manager sacked cant be bothered going to games because I don't think most fans or the club would want you there. Go and support Real Madrid or Man city if you like the 1 season model.

Really? Yes really, 2 wins in 20 is a total meltdown and Blackpool's current form is better than ours with a squad of rag tag monthly contracted players!! All pro Pearce fans can say is STABILITY!!! Like as if no one has ever thought about this concept before!!
Yep stability is important but you need the right manager first, SP has no pedigree in mgmt. and his previous stints have all gone the same with a bump at the start followed by downward spiral. I would say stability is important but not as important as tactics, man management, selections / consistency of selections, player acquisitions etc...
To use a simple analogy its bit like baking a cake, no one ingredient is the single most important factor and a blend and combination is what's required, so for those who constantly bang on about stability and nothing else, your argument is limited, blinkered and as you say yourself reds_are_everwhere its 'moronic'!
