Sacking not the answer

With every sacking our chances of promotion gets worse. I think some of you believe the opposite but its just not true. Please show me a model of a championship team getting promoted by having a similar managerial record to us over the last 3 years? Look where Leeds are? Any similarities?

A decent manager would not touch us with a bargepole. We can only attract managers with potential who are frankly desperate for a job. Are you then going to expect these mangers to instantly get us promoted? It makes no sense. There are managers out there who specialise in getting championship teams promoted, such as Warnock. But he turned us down! ask yourself why?

So now you want SP out but will expect the next manager to also get us promoted. Its just not going to happen is it? United sacked Moyes last season but they have a history of stability and knew they could attract a top top manager. They also knew they had money to spend on the squad. We cannot spend money and cannot attract a top manager. Therefore we need to give someone a go at having a couple of years at the club and trying to build something. Why not SP? He has shown he can get good results and the team playing well at times. We have struggled for consistency but thats normal at times. Consistency only comes with stability surely?

I share your optimism on this one Will. Whoever loses is in for some stick either way but I don't think it will be overboard.

A good bit of banter shared by all hopefully.

Hmmmm I wouldn't be too sure. If we lose heavily and SP gets sacked I expect it to replace the "ten men" and last for years to be honest

Hi, Did someone call?? Sorry been busy with Christmas.

In relation to the question asked by Tiswas, Derby will be exactly where they have been for many years, i.e Not relevant to Nottingham Forest.

It would be foolish to not recognise that they are probably the best team in the division. They may get promoted or they may bottle it like last year and fail at the last hurdle. As things stand I think they are the best performing outfit in the league. Forest are struggling badly and going through a transition that may require change or may not. My verdict is undecided at the moment.

However either way the presence of all the Derby fans on this board demonstrates how obsessed they are and why even if Derby temporarily go into a higher Division they still are Not relevant.

As a group you seem to miss the point continually, its not whether you have more points than us or that you are higher in the league. Its just the fact that you are Derby. Its like being Huddersfield, Rotherham or Barnsley (no offence intended to those clubs).

Only an idiot would not recognise your current form and admit that those average players have been moulded into something that far outweighs the sum of the parts. But in the long run you are destined to be about 10th - 12th in Championship that is your lot.

You should enjoy and embrace these fantastic days like the failure at Wembley. It was one of your biggest days in the clubs history. You were National news for about 5 minutes and lets face it, that doesn't happen very often!

We are not relevant to Nottingham Forest. Try telling that to your Chairman who had to sack his last manager after your last visit and will likely do the same this time.

I give you credit though DR, you must be very 'special' to have made this crap up.

I wouldn't put it past you because you are that sad, last time it took months to scratch the money together between you as well.

Ha ha! PLANEGATE! That turned out well didn't it?! Chuckled got weeks after that failed WUM. The Reds then showed their class by raising more for charity. 😬

We'd changed manager by the time they did it and even the fans that took the defeat the worst had pretty much got over it by then. It was very Mickey Mouse and just made your fans look....you know
