Do you like goals? Do you like games that are never secure even when a team opens up a two goal advantage? Do you like teams who have scorers throughout their team?
Then come along and see the Terrors.
Dundee United are the top scorers in the league.
Games involving Dundee United average 3.33 goals per game.
Dundee United haven't been involved in a 0-0 for 61 games.
Dundee United have had 17 different scorers this season - the only regular first teamer not to have scored this season is Connor Townsend. (Adeyemo and Spark are the only other players not to have scored, and they've only made 1 appearance each off the bench).
In many ways last night summed up why we most likely won't be able to maintain a challenge for the league. At 2-0 up teams like Aberdeen kill the game off and that's the end of things. At 2-0 up United do stupid things and panic and give the opposition a chance to get back in the game and we certainly did that last night.
A poor first half was lit up by a wonderful strike by Stuart Armstrong to give United the league. Most of our play had been blighted by an unwillingness to have a crack at goal and it was telling that our only decent effort resulted in a goal.
The second half started magnificently with a GMS goal within 22 seconds of the restart, after a lovely pass from Armstrong. However it all went wrong. A fantastic freekick by Jesus Tena Lady and then a fairly fortunate equaliser, and it honestly looked like it was only a matter of time before Hamilton scored a winner. Thankfully United restored our lead through a Dillon header and we held on for the three points.
Credit to Hamilton, they battled back and played very well after their opener, but we need more backbone in our team. I was pleased with the lineup, I was pleased that we put out our better footballers rather than runners and battlers on the plastic pitch, but our inexperience showed. Our average age was 24 and we had 6 u23 players in the first XI.
I want to give us credit though. Hamilton haven't lost a home game in 5 months. For us to go there and win is a fantastic result, even though they've been through a difficult week.
Onwards and upwards, and the treble bid is still alive!

When I think of some of the absolute dross that wore the United shirt in the early part of the last decade <shudder>

You've been going to "do an article on this" since this was BBC 606.
I've often brought up the "better than 10 years ago" argument and you always say that.

To be honest, I'm just worried I'll not get home.
I'm working in Perth today and the snow is coming down thick and fast. It doesn't help that the hospital I'm working in is up Lochie Brae and I'm not convinced my car will be getting back down it.

Dundee: snow falling on top of ice so conditions bad for drivers & pedestrians across the city. Bad too on the A90 Perth - Dundee road. T.T

Just be careful you don't push it too far before getting in the thing

A90 Longforgan East looks pleasant, at least compared to Longforgan West.
