I was behind Pearce but after yesterday and the run of 3 wins in 24 the way modern football is a change was inevitable.
The players want to take a long hard look at themselves though, especially Lansbury (I could name others). Their lack of commitment and will to win is pathetic. I'm pretty sure they'll cop it in the next home game if things don't go well. I can already hear "you're not fit to wear the shirt" already.
As for Dougie Freedman underwhelmed doesn't even come close. Shocking appointment. One decent run of results at Palace (which was his club) and he jumps ship for the pay cheque at Bolton. Walking out on his own club speaks volumes. He then proceeds to squander Boltons parachute payments and turns them into championship relegation candidates. During his run at Bolton can remember numerous interviews where text book cliche answers were his only defence. Not that its relevant but we spurned £1.50m on him to get us out of a relegation scrap under Bassett and that didn't go to plan. Can remember him missing two one on ones in his first couple of home games.
If we were gonna make a change should have gone for a forward thinking manager. I've said this before but Swanseas template, consistent in their appointments with a clear philosophy would have been a good way to go. The whole thing as it is every year is a shambles.
Pathetic

SHH is right. Fawaz has made our club a complete joke. He has done a really bad job so far. He clearly has no idea what he is doing. Remember he was the one who offered Pearce the job. Pearce didn't apply for it, he was working in the media. It wasn't difficult to look at Pearce's record and see that he isn't a very good manager!
Also he appears I have made a very quick decision regarding freedman. He has not given other managers anytime to apply or declare interest. Why? Freedman may have some experience and certainly has a better record than SP, but he doesn't stand out as the ideal candidate. He is certainly not such a great manager (yet) that we needed to rush him through before someone else poached him! It just seems it has been given very little consideration yet again!
But the truth is, not many people would want the job. It's a nightmare job for a manager. Get promotion very quickly or get sacked!
We need a new chairman, not another 17 managers in 3 years!

Freedman doesn't have a better win percentage than Pearce just to pick you up on that.

I think the penny's dropping.

He's gone for Freedman for one reason. He's just a sacked an ex-player, and he thought those who would blame him for it might be appeased by another ex player joining us. I bet he asked Keane first and got told to feck off.

The fact that Faulkner has gone as well is frightening.

We are in a world of trouble with Fawaz of even an experienced chief exec like Faulkner can't work with him.

Some are still making excuses for him. Unbelievable. It's Faulkner's fault for being Mardy apparently....😷

The owner gets the final say in things but the CEO is heavily involved, you don't just bypass them. It sounds like rather than being the only issue that has upset PF, there is suggestion this is his final straw. The journalists suggesting that are a little tight lipped at the moment but it will come out.
