Am i the only person who would rather theo walcott was nowhere near the team?
You may think im crazy as he has scored a few goals but honestly he does my head in.
What he does well is hang on the last defender and if the ball is going in behind he will sprint at full pace to get it . Fair enough however thats ALL he does. He never takes a player on and worst of all he offers NO PROTECTION AT ALL to the full back. He never sprints back when our attacks break dowm and the amount of times bellerin was one on one tonight because of walcott was ridiculous.
A few of you will say "hes just got back from injury" but it has nothing to do with that he has just never helped out his right back.
I still remmeber the villa home game last year. For the third goal the guy slowly jogs past him and he doesnt even bother tracking back. Wilshere is sprinting and he absolutley goes mental at walcott when we concede
My season ticket is right by the halfway line and i get to see him close up every week and he just doesnt offer any protection at all. If chamberlain and sanchez are fit he shouldnt even be anywhere near the starting 11.

Fans are hilarious
Not to long ago everyone couldn't wait for Theo to be back. He has been out for a year. Scores 3 goals but still getting slated

Im inclined to agree with you, its as if people have absolutely lost their marbles. We have a guy on the right wing who even when hes not 100% will still produce more goals and assists than anyone else in the premier league from that position yet there is talk of dropping him for the likes of Ox who is not at the required level yet and for all his "tracking back" (Chambers against Montero anyone??) has barelyi a combined total of 3 goals and assists to his name . Last year we didnt score enough goals that was mainly due to Theo's abscence. Giroud is not an out and out goalscorer, his attributes require us to have people around him scoring too, working off his flicks etc.
Im just glad some of you arent managing Arsenal. Ozil and Theo have probably come under the most attack in the last couple of weeks whlst they have been our best players easily

Cant remember Ozil being attacked much, hes been our star man since his return. He wasnt great against Spurs but was ok and got the goal.

This is bollox of the highest order. Theo Walcott is simply not a CF, never has been and never will be."

It really isn't bollox, GT. Whether or not Theo is a centre forward isn't the point (and is a matter of debate) Bats was making, the point he was making was that Theo, in that game gave a centre forward display as good as anyone in an Arsenal shirt has produced since Van Persie was leading our line. He was superb. Direct in his penetration. selfless in his off the ball the movement (check out how he drags defenders to open up the space that lead to Cazorla's first) and just the kind of option that kept Spurs honest and fearful the entire game allowing us to pin them back and dominate the entire 90 minutes of that game. I was genuinely excited after that to see him get a run of games up top and perhaps develop as a centre forward, but alas our injury bug came back to bite us firm on the árse.
But why just take my word for it? Watch for yourself:

Again, he may or may not be a striker, but on that day he was as unplayable as anything we've seen at the Grove for a good few years.

I remember one good game of Theo as a CF against a "weaker" opponent the season before he got injured. I remember him playing there well because he was able to run faster than the defender. This is his game.
I won't trust Theo to do it against better teams who defend well and organised and on a regular basis.
I like Theo and want him to play well but please as a winger and not as a CF on a regular basis.

Herbie, my comment above is for you. Can't watch the video link now. Will do it later but it wont change my opinion on Theo neither on Giroud as a CF and what they bring to the team.

So the Walcott haters are out even when he scores the winner. Stupidity has no bounds.

Fact is an 80% Theo Walcott is still more efficient than any other English winger. Wait til he's fully fit, his all round game will drastically improve.

Walcott contributes to goals and assists. Ox doesn't. The end!
