I think consoles will live on, certainly in the next 4-5 years, but it's hard to see where they go from here.

They are approaching the limit of what they can do graphically imo, and top class games are becoming more and more rare - the only two in the past 3 years being TLOU and GTA imo

They'll always be a market for a a console, but I can see VR overtaking it massively for sure.

you ask what I have against the rift? it's likely a money sink for less-good technology than what Sony can do

Randomer VR is very interesting to me and I have certainly been following the tech news regarding it, if you want to call that fanboyism thats fine with me

You make general statements and the fact you think it will stop the TV being an option, shows how little research you have done.

But having said that, if you really dont want to try VR then that is your prerogative, VR will be another option and one many gamers will enjoy, but it goes beyond gaming.

But If you prefer the TV I'm sure it will always be an option, even I cant imagine wanting all my gaming in VR.

Yes the statement that I wasn't interested in VR which in your head seems to have meant I havn't done any research.

The part about replacing TVs was only in reply to others posting about the chances of that, I didn't explicitly say I think it will. I did say as long as there is the option then I have no problem.

And yeah I do call it fanboyism when you outright refuse differing opinions to your own, like all the time. You won't have a bad word said about the order ffs or the PS4 in general.

I dont refuse your differing opinion, as I said if you don't feel VR is for you then that is your prerogative and as I also said if you want to call my interest and excitement in VR fanboyism I am happy to accept that too.

Randomer I apologise if I came over a little over zelous if you really cant see yourself wanting to try VR then fair enough, I was just trying to point out that a lot of naysayers have changed their minds when given the chance of experiencing it for themselves.

Oh about the Order, there are some weaknesses as I myself have pointed out, the main one being no online feature, making longevity a problem but as a game I can say after finishing it, it didn't deserve the Reviews it was getting, the people who have actually played it agree, including I might add someone who I shareplayed it with.

It wont be for everyone, but I said that too.
