Form, this "rich vein of form" has been encouraging. More so when you consider the limitations of the squad and the upheaval off the pitch.
Since Thompson arrived there's a greater resilience about the team. I mentioned before, earlier in the season, that we seemed to be able to keep a clean sheet for 45 minutes and then capitulate. That appears to have been dealt with in the main.
Points and position are the true barometers to progress I'm led to believe. Well, if the season finished today we've shown improvement on position and I daresay we'll see some improvement on the points total too.
Top ten is where I wanted to be but I'm pleased thus far.
Given the improvements alluded to, its hard to argue that this is not a better squad/performance than we had under either Warnock or McDermott.
We're seeing better individual performances now and from players previously written off. More youth players coming through than we've seen for some time too. Imagine what's possible if we retain the best of the squad and add players where we obviously need a little more flair and experience. Next year for me is the biggie and on this I will rate Cellino. Not bothered about ER or TA, promotion please.
However, my question is this.
Is Redfearn, Redfearn/Thompson the best coaching set up for Leeds United. I'm extremely pleased with the team's progress as it stands and for Redfearn stabilising the ship. We're a fickle bunch aren't we? The approvalometer swings from one extreme point to another based upon results.
Do you think another coach would get more from the same players or does Redfearn have the qualities to bring on the youth and mix it with the right blend of experience?

Wakey,
Which life? I've had so many. I used to be Julius Caeser. I've also been Napoleon and more latterly Queen Victoria.

As Gelderd said, the current coaching team has earned a chance to have a pre-season and start a new season to show what they can do.

Stevie, what happened in Russia mate ? Poor defence or managerial ineptitude ? I reckon you spent too much time writing to Josephine instead of putting the team first.

He must be thinking of the life when you were a Queen, Stevie.

Sorry, Stevie. But LIW is obsessed with what Massimo's doing with his "Salami".(so to speak).

LIW - can you tone it down a bit! Your comments border on the obscene! I make allowances for the testosterone, but the other guys on here don't seem to need to be so explicit.

Serious question.
When was the last time before this season (certainly since Xmas) that you thought at 1-0 we could go on to win the game?
