A Must Win Game or a Must Not Lose game?
A win takes us level with United, unless we win by a clear 7 goals, then we go above them
It takes us above Liverpool as they play on Monday night.
This would be a massive confidence boost, really set us up as we go into games vs Leicester, Villa & Burnley. A great chance to put some points o the board.
With United looking well below their best, DiMaria suspended, Evans suspended, now talk of Young and Shaw doubtful, Falcao not even impressing vs our U21s, some might say they are there for the taking. Do they have the character of-old to really come back fighting after their FA Cup exit or will a strong showing by Spurs have them looking wary and lacking confidence??
If we go for the win, we are more at risk of losing. They have some great attacking players and that quality has seen them through a lot of games.
OR do we play it a bit more circumspect, a must not lose approach.
Against LFC we played ok but it was such an open game, it looked like extra time in a cup tie, for 90 minutes. If we do this vs United we could get caught out, it could go any way.
A more deep sitting, counter attacking style could be successful, like Arsenal, with the focus on not losing and trying to nick something.
Losing to Utd puts them 6 points ahead and we could lose further ground on LFC who go to Swansea.
The trouble is that we are fighting 2 or 3 teams for 1 place, not just Utd.
With United's tough fixtures coming up (LFC, City, Chelsea, Arsenal) we could be hopeful that they will drop plenty more points.....but then Liverpool and Saints are well in the mix and could themselves over take us.
My head says - Must Not Lose. We draw, we are still well in the mix with LFC, Utd and Arsenal all having to play each other there is the chance to make up ground.
My heart say - lets go for them, they are there fore the taking and if we lose, so be it. Lets not die wondering. To Dare is to Do
What say you?

I had a CL bet on last night....home wins for Porto, Chelsea, Bayern & Real, accie which would have paid about £45 off £10bet. Real fecking lost
The last time i bet it was on a similar thing, 4 CL games , all home bankers totally about 4:1 odds.....the one that let me down was Arsenal Ajax. Arsenal were 3-0 at HT. When I saw the results of teh other games i checked my account to see how much I had won and it said £0.....confused i went to the BBC page and saw that Arsenal let a 3-0 at home to Ajax slip.
Dont know why I bother, certainly never bet on Spurs.

Don't bet on Arsenal either
Both have let me down before, bankers too. Not worth it. The hate for Rochdale not scoring at home despite averaging two a game soon subsides

Go balls out for the win, defensive is not in Spurs DNA and we're cack at it.
