Mourinho

For all the United fans who worship Mourinho, I hope you tuned in to the game.

Last season it was simple, you're 3-1 down from the first leg so you have to be positive, you have to force the opposition back and win convincingly.

This time around he comes in at 1-1, Chelsea are ahead on the away goals rule so he doesn't need to attack but the situation can change in an instant.

A manager who has confidence in his team would have taken the game to PSG (Chelsea are supposed to be the best team in the Premier League) and tried to get the win on the night.

Instead Chelsea were neither positive, nor negative, they were a reflection of their manager, confused from beginning to end.

PSG came to Stamford Bridge to play and to win, and yesterday may not have been a victory for the Premier League but it was a victory for football.

Mourinho may not have believed in his team like the media and plenty of supporters (not just Chelsea fans) did but once Ibrahimovic was sent off it should have been simple.

Mourinho however changed nothing really as Chelsea with an extra man continued to play like a team that had an advantage they were frightened to relinquish and ironically for the one period in the match where I was certain Chelsea would have thrown everything at PSG, the 10 men of the French side saw off the remaining minutes in expert fashion.

There's only one real reason why Chelsea lost the tie, it's because their manager didn't have the balls to win.

In those barca finals I doubt it would have made any difference what way fergie played, that barca team were just many levels above us.

Baz tard

Agreed, we set up terribly in both games but even if we had our best game plan we would have most likely lost. Had we raised our game Barca would have raised theirs even more. It's terrifying how good those 2 Barca sides were.

We had the attack and defence in Rome to beat them. We lost the game in midfield.

even in Rome they were on paper a better team, in reality, even better than that. We would have to be very lucky to have won that game, not impossible, but they were just a much better team.

The funny thing is that even though that Barca side were better than us, they really weren't better than Chelsea in that semi. Absolute disgrace how Chelsea went out that night.
I would have fancied us more against Chelsea even though in that tie they were better than Barca.

Judging a manager on one bad game is ridiculous.

As I said, Mourinho is a top coach but he has a weakness and I'm not scared to highlight it.

As soon as the opposition is a threat in his mind, he doesn't have the courage to take them on regardless of whether it's right to do so or not, the City draw at the Etihad is another example and sadly their are many more.
