I don't think we have had many worse players than Lamela in recent years. The one thing most attackers need to be successful in the Prem is pace, Lamela has none he looks like he is running in wet cement. His step overs are the slowest I have ever seen, he is meant to be skillfull but never beats his man and I mean never. He is weak I would back Shaun Wright Philips to flatten him in a shoulder to shoulder. His shooting is wayward and hardly ever on target, he has no vision, his passing unless its 10 yards sideways if poor. Tackling poor, his only attribute is that he does actually try but its like we are playing with 10 men when he is on the pitch.
1 Premier League goal in his near 2 seasons with us, and that was against the mighty Burnley at home. For me he is the biggest flop in Premier League history as Id rather have paid 50m for Torres and 35m for Andy Carroll than 30m for Lamela at least they could be decent sometimes. In the Premier League I can only think of the QPR game at home where he had a good game. Cannot think of another game he has even been decent in let alone good.

He may be a good player but he certainly hasn't shown it for us. In general he has been awful. Looks as though poch has faith in him

Lamela has been poor, that can't be disputed. But "the worst ever!" Is utterly ridiculous....

£15m? If he were to be sold to Italy then only Juve would try and pay anywhere near that. The Milan clubs would try a loan with an £8m fee paid over a decade

Definitely not the worst ever.
When you take money in to acvount, he's up there with the worst signings.

Lee Young Pyo was much better for Spurs than Lamela has been so far Ditto Stalteri. Both have made big contributions to a season, whereas Lamela has not. Both together cost about a tenth of his price too
The fact all of the above add up to one Lamela in price is a savage indictment of what a bad signing he has been really
