Mohammed Amir is back !

http://ibnlive.in.com/news/cricketnext/mohammad-amir-returns-to-domestic-cricket-after-412-years-of-ban/533750-78.html

Are you happy to see him back?
Do you think he can become a world class player we expected him to be?

I think Butt & Asif should not be allowed to play for Pakistan again.

I do believe that Amir's case is difference. He was only 17/18 and used by the senior players. And he admitted all and co-operated with enquires unlike the other two.

BOD, that would be a great argument, but you are forgetting about the treatment of one man. There was that Pakistan wicket-keeper (forgot his name). He actually won a match for his team and explained to the ICC that he was asked to fix the match and he refused. The ICC and his own board ignored him and he has never played for his country again.

This suggests to me that the ICC couldn't care less about co-operation of players and this new, lawful Pak board didn't care either.

It seems all about money. Amir is a young, marketable player in an era where there are very few true superstars in world cricket and he would add an x-factor (which I'm fine with by the way), but it seems the others are just thrown away and loads of reasons are given, but in the end it comes down to giving people a second chance.

As for the wicket-keeper, he should've been applauded, but he was just ignored. I'll never forgive the ICC or the PCB for this.

You must be taking about Zulqarnain Haider. He retired from all cricket, claimed asylum in UK and is now back in Pakistan playing domestic cricket.

Yes, the guy who had that big partnership with Ajmal against England.

I don't know what he's doing right now, but why weren't his claims taken seriously at the time?

He didn't provide any evidence. He just wanted a red passport. Hopefully he never plays for pak again. Embarrassed himself

Completely disagree, there's no smoke without fire in my opinion.

Many players like Ranatunga, Tillekeratne, Chris Lewis etc. have all mentioned match-fixing, but refused to provide evidence. That does not mean it doesn't exist.

We heard millions of times about no evidence of match-fixing in IPL until it was proven.

Why on Earth would he put his career in jeopardy just as he had made his way in the team. Seem an extremely silly and illogical thing to do.

Amir seems to be bowling pretty well on his return.

Maybe ready for Pakistan towards the end of this year ??
