Both play much better football and look more sold as a team since they both dropped Glen Johnson...
Glen Johnson the weak link for club and country no more 🙌
England and Liverpool

I thought he'd done that under Capello. Might be wrong. Must have got it from the same source that you got five wins was a record or something.

When Terry was captain you mean?
The source was the ITV commentary last night so unless they've got it wrong...

Gerrard had three assists, two MOM awards, was in the team of the tournament and was captain at Euro 2012.
Spurtle won't like to talk about that.

Already said he did alright during 2012. Doesn't exactly make up for the other disasters though.

We also topped our WC qualifier group
Didn't s gerrard goal seal that qualification as well?
Its just wumming and club bias banter
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Nothing to do with club bias at all. I've always supported Pool in Europe. I just don't think Gerrard has made the best captain for England, and we're better off for getting rid.
If we eventually turn out to be just as poor I'll eat my words.

He was a bad captain because he led us to the top of our WC qualifying group and well beyond expectation at the euros including making the team of the tournament
Yep
I get it
No wumming there
Makes perfect sense
All logic
Got it

Apparently that doesn't count as he mentioned that making it nul and void.

Rio was top class for many years, but tweet was better for longer and is still a top class CB, as when Rio has been on the downward spiral since he got 30's
Strictly my football opinion

Well Terry did have a problem season or two not long back where he looked like he was losing it...
In fairness to Rio he is also 2 years older than Terry and started playing regularly a few years before him, he's also got 50 odd more appearances than him (with a 7-8 month ban right at his peak bringing that total right down) so I am not sure Terry really has anything on him for longevity, well not just yet anyway but if he keeps it up certainly.

Terry will play more. Simply because a lot of Rio's ability was covered by his pace, he later didn't have that. Terry never had pace and thus can last longer.

Yeah certainly, although given their age difference I just don't think he's proven it yet. Although tbh it isn't really Rios pace dying off that's done him, it's back injuries that have turned him crap.
Would still be more than good enough for a side like QPR if he had just lost his pace.
