sven

i hope im not being too downhearted here but why has sven changed the formation around again at half time we were coasting at 3-1,but he as moved schlupp out wide again and they have lost the momentum and its now 3-2,he did this time after time with england and it lost him the confidence of the players and eventually his job, please prove me wrong sven

I am now starting to wonder about Sven. As foreverafox says, he did this time and time again with England but it doesn't seem to have changed his mind. If Schmeichel hadn't been in between the sticks I think we'd have been on the end of a loss today.

If it ain't broke don't fix it!

My best guess would be that against Forest with the diamond we failed to see out the game (though that has to be said that was partly down to factors beyond our control) so Sven wanted to put the three central midfileders narrow and the wide players as well just to sure us up a bit. Obviously that didn't work and we just kept losing the ball as when it went to Vas up top he had no-one to pass to. So there is a part of me that can understand why he did it.

But it has to be said that the diamond looks our best system. Did Stringer ask Sven about the formation change in his post-match interview?

sven has always said we havent the players for 4-4-2.
well when nugent plays. we do actually play vassel /nugent in a 4-4-2, then nugent goes off and we revert back into a 4-5-1. i have heard him say many times that he prefers the 4-4-2 so i can see that vassel will end up on the bench once we get that secret striker in

Absolutely crazy Sven. For the second week running he handed the inititiative to the opposition, Why can't he see it? WHY?

Yes, he did, Greatness. Sven made a lame reply and gave me the impression that he knew very well that the change had contributed to the second half turning into the Alamo. His remarks are on the LCFC site now.

OK, not quite the Alamo, because we didn't lose. But you know what I mean.

If we are going to insist on changing to 4-5-1 then we need an outlet ball to someone who can hold the ball up with their back to goal - or at least win it in the air. Vassell is about 5' 6" FFS.

Howard could do this job or the Yak if we brought him back in. We don't have anyone, currently, who can play this role. So please Sven - stop trying!

SVEN PLAY 4-4-2 AND STOP MESSING ABOUT WITH THE TEAM.??????

I said the same thing. As soon as they scored their 1st goal thats when i noticed the change.

This is the 1 thing i've noticed with Sven.Instead of keeping the pressure on Southampton he chenged to 4-5-1 and that just invited them to come on to us.

If you can remember back to the World cup in South Korea when we played Brazil and were 1-0 up,he changed the formation then to try to hold on to the lead.Even when Brazil went down to 10 men instead of putting them under pressure. If i remember rightly he put on Phil Nevellie. And the rest they say is history. We ended up losing 2-1.
