Wouldn`t the club be better of just cancelling his contract and paying him off. What is the actual point of him being around the club, he is not playing, and I doubt he will play again. May as well just terminate his contract, same with a few of the other players. Spurs will just have to take a hit on a few players. Start again from next season.
WTF is Adabeyor?

I think Tim Sherwood could get more out of Ade next season at Villa.

Problem is that he is on massive wages. Not playing. SO who is (1) going to want to spend a fee on him and (2) think he's worth the wages we pay him or (3) have any interest in him whatsoever?
Answer, no one! Basically we cannot even give him away.
The only way out of this is if we find some mug who thinks they can get the best out of Ade and we either loan or given him to them and pay some of his wages.
There is no point paying off his contract because he then has his full pay and offers nothing, not even in an emergency. Unless he is such a bad influence on the training ground ( I have heard numerous Brad Friedel interview where he says Ade is no problem at all) then paying out his contract achieves nothing.
What i think is important is that we do not let his situation affect our transfer plans. Assume he stays, assume we pay him and make our plans.....if he goes its a bonus. Levy just has to suck up the loss on this one, we all knew it was a risk, everyone gave him the benefit of the doubt but history has repeated itself as it did with Arsenal and City

Not a great idea to terminate. Kane could get injured, Soldado suspended. Who would play then.
It doesn`t matter now. Spurs will finish where they are, so could promote a youth team striker if necessary.

Good point.

Or as we're struggling for goals, try out a Plan B and actually play him.
That wouldn't be such a bad managerial move to actually use the other players in the squad would it?

As i just posted on another anti-Ade article...
I’m just not sure what is so bad about his record. He did well at Arsenal and went City. This was possibly for the money but no more so than 99% of the City squad did at that point (and footballers do in general). He then had a loan spell at Madrid where he did okay – but it didn’t work out. I don’t see any shame with this because this is Real Madrid – not Barnet. Oh I missed out the goal celebration versus Arsenal…not very professional I agree but I didn’t see any objections from Spurs fans at the time.
Then he comes to us. He had a brilliant first season under Harry, was not selected under AVB, found form under Sherwood, and not favoured by Poch.
Bearing in mind we have players like Lamela, Soldado, Capoue, Paulinho, Chadli (to a lesser degree), Kaboul, (to name but a few) who have been far worse signings overall, I just don’t see what the big deal is about Adebayor’s record. Aren’t people just jumping on the bandwagon and going a little OTT?

It's a matter of pride and we all know Levy doesn't like to lose. Personally I'd just hold my hands up and accept defeat - pay him what he's owed so we can send him on his way.
