I hate Chelsea, but the title was well won this year. So enjoy the rest of the season.
Now I'm going to bring something up that isn't meant to cause a row, but it probably will.
So here goes,
Do you think that Chelsea have had a winning team in any of the years since Abramovich came, that will be heralded as a history defining team in 50 years time?
To put this into some sort of context, since the Premiership started, I can think of 2 teams that will be forever in the memory of football.
Utd 98-99 - Treble winning side
Arsenal - 04 - Invincibles
Now the concept to this isn't who you remember as a Chelsea fan, but what Chelsea team you think other fans would remember? and the reason why?
It should also be based on 1 season.
My brother, a Spurs fan, said that people would remember the largest points scoring Prem season, which would sit in the records, until someone beats it, and if they do in the next 50 years or so, then no one will remember what team has the second largest points tally.
I think if someone went unbeaten or won a treble then it would join the list, and not displace those that are already on the list I provided.
Maybe like me you don't think there is a Chelsea team yet that have a defining moment and that is all to come, or maybe you think you have loads.
Well Done

Who is downplaying it? It is a brilliant achievement.
However, had both teams had the seasons in question during the same season who have been crowned champions?

Again, that's an impossible question to answer since Arsenal peaked in that season and Chelsea the following. Perhaps the teams who came up were of lower standard ect.

Chelsea fans downplaying going unbeaten despite talking about doing it every week before december
They just wanna be loved, bless em

Just want to be champions .........not "loved"
As I said before this is all a bit premature ........ points not on the board yet

No it isn’t an exact science but we’re talking one season apart and a clear five point gap and 10+ goal difference. We can speculate but Chelsea did it.

I mean CL win as a whole I've credited the Barca away win it and mentioned it was dramatic still not as good as our victory when we actually beat them at their own game.
Any decent side can get lucky by parking the bus and frustrating the opposition for long enough but to actually challenge the greatest footballing side ever in a possession based game is more admirable especially as we didn't spend as much money as they have which you did.
But take nothing away considering the circumstances it was a good victory for you lot but your whole run in general was a little embarrassing for such an expensive assembled squad the true underdog title doesn't fit

The teams that will be remembered aren't necessarily the best so I don't think it should bother anyone.
In my opinion Arsenal's 01/02 team is the best Arsenal team Wenger ever assembled. I also think United's 07/08 team was better than their treble winning team. Far less luck needed to achieve what they did and if not for a terrible ref in their match vs Portsmouth, would probably have won the treble again.

All i know is that CFC have spent the last decade with AFC in its rear view mirror .
I can't remember 1 single game AFC have played worth remembering.
Afc have one one cup in the last decade.
The one game i do remember was when CFC stuffed you on Vengers 1000th match, i was there and it will always stay with me ,when we sang Arsene Venger we want you to stay ,
Do you remember that inventor or weren't you at the game
