I haven't seen any of the last couple of games ( Villa or West Brom) but I have managed to catch BR 's after match words.
I know we won both of these games as he kept saying how excellent we were and had special praise for. Gerrard and Balotelli. I also see that Henderson has penned a deal bumper deal which is great as i presume he has finally learnt to play football rather than just try hard.
Can't wait to see the highlights from these games as it is clear from Brendan's words that not only did we play total football but we also scored a bag full of goals.
I admitt it after the last few Europa games , the Utd and Arsenal games as well as the 20 odd games before Christmas I was very worried.
Get in there

Tbf when talking about top mfs neither hendo or allen get near. I agree there are good but are probably not hoing to make the difference in the big games.
We had Gerrard, Alonso, Mascherano who were ALL world class. I can see only Steling and Coutinho measuring up to those standards; and we may lose sterling. A Modric or Isco would be fantastic.....but the CL rears its head again.

TVJ the problem most people have with you is you only coem on here to moan when things go bad but also the only solution you have is a billionaire owner, anyone can come up with that it's hardly some sort of genius statment to make.
There have been so many mitigating factors that have led to us having a poor season, literally had 50 plus goals removed from the team! Over 50 fecking goals! That is goign to make a huge difference and it's copst us so much this season.
Funnily enough our keeper is now the highest clean sheet holder in the league! And we look like a far better side defensivley in the past few months,
I get it you're frustratred (although to be honest you come across as a glory fan where it's success or nothing) but if you can't look at the bigger picture I think you'll remain frustrated for several more years.
And the funny thing is, despite how poor we have been we are only 3 positive result swings from actually being right in amoung the top 4 clubs, we have had a poor season yet we are still technically in touch with the top 4 (I don't think we will get top 4) but we are not miles away, we just need to be a bit patient, make the rigt signings this summer and we can be back again challenging the top 4 clubs.
And lok at who Brendan is competign with, 4 managers with bigger squads, budgets and vast amounts of experience, yet we are not too far off then despite having a mare of a season, do you not think that is a bit of a positive? If we were 10th and did crap in both cups I'd be asking more serious questions, but we have had lots of things go wrong, Brendan has made mistakes, but overall we are doing ok, he needs a good year next season but take all the above into consideration, what he did last season was a miracle when you look at the teams we finished ahead.
Brendan has been a manager for 6 years, Wenger has been maanger of Arsenal for nearly 4 times Brendans entire managerial career, 6 fecking years! Cut the man some slack

sensible comment but there again sensible articles like this don't get through to some so called Liverpool supporters

No one player is replacing Gerrard, name me a player we can get today who can do what Gerrard in his prime did for us?
----
I think you've missed my point.
I agree that Gerrard is irreplaceable but you can't disagree that Henderson has been backed to fill the voi
I merely believe that he's the wrong choic.

I have all the trust in BR to fix this in the summer with adding a striker and a physical midfield player.
We are not far from the Top 4.
With the stadium expansion to 60k we will have 45m more in revenue each year which is the same as Arsenal.
I think we will grow financially and will surpass City and Chelsea. I think potentially we will be the second in revenue streams in 5-10 years.
The team has the quality allround but what we need are 2 strikers who can score 50 goals every year.
Strikers with movement, pace and finishing skills.

"FFP is not blocking us but is actually assisting us."
you're on crack
we're maxed out already under FFP. We can't spend any more without more revenue.

The main reason I have faith in Brendan is that he has, on several ocassions got the team on excellent runs of form where we take lots of points in a run of games.
Second half of his first two season we put together long unbeaten runs, and this season we went on another one.
He can get the team playing to a very high standard and maintain that over a number of games and that's what youy need to do to get into the top 4 or higher.
And we put that run together this year without Suarez or a fit Sturridge, we scored far less goals but we stil manager to win games by the odd goal.
If we get a decent striker and can get Studge back fit with a good pre season under his belt I'm confident we can start next season better and have a good shot at trying to crack the teams above us.
One major area Brendan needs to improve in is his big game management, that is not good enough but again he's still learnign and has only played so many of these, Wenger for example has never beaten Jóse and the man has managed in the CL for 16 or whaterver straight seasons!

Also if you look at our record v bottom half teams this season it is awful and it's exactly why we haven't managed to get into the top 4, but in the majority of them games we were in control but lacked any kind of penetration in the final 3rd, we badly missed a proper striker.
Of course Brendan deserves some of the balme for that as he went into the season with Studge, Mario, Lambert and Bortini as our striking options so he does have to take that on the chin.
But we saw when we had Studge fit and Suarez that it's that final bit of quality in the opposition box that often wins you these games, we had lots of draws, we can in the main defend well enough to not conceded against these teams (of course in some games we were just brutal like Palace away) so if we can get the striker situation solved we stand a far better chance of picking up lots more points from these games, especially at home.
Taking as manay points as possible v the bottom 10 teams gets you into the top 4, addign this to taking a good number of points v the top half teasm is what has you challenging at the top of the table.

It doesn't matter how rich the owners are its the ffp that counts. Our owners could have 100's of billions of pounds in the bank but our revenue would stop them from spending
