This forum is pretty dead. Some time after the Millwall match - and some comments from the manager which must have rubbed some people up the wrong way (me being one)
Hillcroft is certainly
Where is everyone?

How on earth we didn't win at Forest...Hill out...

Personally I can't stand Hill, I've found him irritating in almost every interview I've seen. Having said that in terms of success it is very early in the season and I won't let my dislike for him determine what I believe his capabilities are regarding the football on the pitch. One thing I do like about him is that he seems to be a no nonsense kind of bloke and that will go a long way with some of the divas in the game these days.

Some people on the forums have got it in for Hillcroft.
Weve gone away and come back with points, so the fans cant grumble at the team, so they pick on Keith Hill.
He would offend some of them if he farted in his car on his way home.
One day the penny will drop with some fans regarding football finance and what to expect regarding player quality on low attendance's.
Who ever is manager at Oakwell will always have to wheel and deal in the lower leagues, so we have to give the man a chance and get off his back.
Get behind the team and the management.

When Keith Hill did a u-turn and accepted the managerial post he was well aware of the financial situation yet is using this as a crutch when the team are criticised. People are becoming tired of hearing we should know our position, if the leagues were based on attendances it would be a sad game, fans attend in the hope of upsets and that's where the manager can make a difference. Perhaps Hill should spend more time with the players instead of spending time with the press making veiled threats of resignation. It's time for Hill to get his head down and concentrate on football instead of his critics.

Pleased my post got some response and a bit of a debate over the manager going.
Yes - Hill is entitled to put his views across about "reality checks" and working on a limited budget, but I also agree with other contributors that it is sounding as if he is floundering a bit and may have bitten off more than he could chew. I am not jumping on any "HIll out" bandwagon - he needs more time, but to be football league manager you need a very thick skin, and it sounds to me as if he is taking the opinions of some people badly. It comes with the territory and as manager he can do nothing about it, so why even comment? He will be judged on results like all the others.

A rarity, but have to largely agree with you skinner. Keith Hill is dividing opinion. I'm 100% behind the Club as ever, but Hill has so much to learn at this level. On and off the pitch. I'll continue to back him, but reserve my right to criticise when he's blatantly wrong

Reading some of your comments is some what disheartening and proves Hills point. We have spend minus money so his job is to keep barnsley in the championship. If fitzcroft manage this they are saints. Hill is a very bright guy and is risking his very good record with a club that's trying to make more money than it spends. If they manage next season we will be laughing because the clubs that are spending more than they make and gambling on promotion will be punished next season. Up the reds respect hillcroft, if you know better go and manage a team. Only bad result this season is the Boro one however, if what I hear is true about the crowd getting on the teams back I'm not surprised. Get a grip and back the team and the idea of being a very well organised out fit (which we are)

I don't think it's important what KH says, it's what he does that counts, but some people think they know better (God knows why) and don't like it when he tells it like it is.
I trust him more than any fan and will support him whilever he is boss, whoever he picks and whatever tactics he uses because he knows better than us, and that is a fact.
You whingers better accept that or whinge somewhere else, the choice is yours, but please don't bore us who support BFC come what may.

If we all blindly follow the manager then there is no point in a discussion board!
Managers come and go - and god knows we have had too many over the last few years - the bums on seats who pay their hard earned money remain.
Opinions are like Ar$3hole$. Everyone has one. Everyone is entitled to one.
