So on the back off Ghosts and Advanced warfare we have a new Black ops coming. Early news again suggest much of the same. Old engine and non dedicated servers poorly adapted maps. The last decent COD was (IMO) black ops 2.
Finally tho buyers are wise-ing up to the rip off franchise tho and numbers of purchases have dropped and the number of players staying on Multi player has really died.
Add in the fact that other FPS' have now moved on (battlefield, Planetside 2 en route and rainbox six about to be released), is this the end of COD with any luck the latest in series completely flop. We need this to make a loss in order for Activision to get their act together and actually invest money on updating the game (not spending the budget on gettin guys like Spacey to act in the single player).
I used to love the COD franchise right up to Black ops 2 but then its faliure to move on meant that I stopped at the right time i think.
So what do we think guys? Is everyone done with the regurgitated COD's/do people think that other games have just progressed further and COD can reign them back in.
I think we should move on games like this need innovation due to the saturated nature or FPS markets.
C.O.D. the end?

Waw was the best online cod..
great maps and flllukk all of those silly kill streaks .....but was DESTROYED by hackers (still being hacked to this day..have no idea what fun you get outta modding the game)
Modern warfare was good but the made it too easy by putting the noob on every single machine gun so it took the skill out of the game...far to easy to noob someone from across the map..decent maps though..

Modern Warfare 2 was the game changer for me, and still think it is the best.
Advanced Warefare is pants. Haven't enjoyed it at all.

Ghosts was the last one I played. Bought it, played it for a couple of weeks then never picked it up again.
I can't see me ever buying a CoD game again.

I think ghosts is the worst COD game that's been released to date, followed by advanced warfare, what do people think of the recent idea of a mw2 remastered being released?

Ghosts was terrible.
However I think advanced is a good enough game to keep the franchise going for a bit yet.
The online play compared to ghosts is actually quite fun and I like the fun of the exos, I know that sort of thing has been done in other games but it was new to cod and offered a fun new spin on things
The customisation is fairly straight forward too which helps.
I tend to play cod with my misses, people knock cod for its ease of use, however the simple truth is that the pick up and play aspect of it is a big seller for most.
Even on split screen my misses, who ain't a big gamer by any stretch of the imagination, can pick it up and easily keep up.
Online play peaked at BO II. Had some good maps as well as a handful of throw back ones which were fun for nostalgic reasons.
However, in terms of zombies the original black ops absolutely knocked it out of any park you care to mention.
Whoever suggested releasing the four original zombie maps on release for the hardened edition and then later to the rest of the players as a map pack was a marketing genius.
The original BO had some decent zombie maps but when you added the original zombie maps too it to...great move

After spending hundreds of hours on MW1 I was massively looking forward to MW2. Bought it and initially thought it was wicked. After 2 weeks I was bored to tears and had gone back to MW1. The moment cod included rewards for massive kiil streaks (nuke etc) it just encouraged people to hide. MW3 did tackle this is with how killstreaks were set up and I didn't mind that games. Ghosts was terrible. I think there might have been one level I slightly enjoyed - the rest, it was the world's worse game of hide and seek.
