Quite some player
He's just scored his 40th (FORTY!) goal of the season for the youth teams and is only 17! That includes 12 goals in 9 games in the UEFA Youth League.
So, what do we think for next season? Give him another year in the U21s, send him on loan next season to a Premier League / Championship team or throw him in at the deep end and put him in the Chelsea squad?
Really looks like he's got the talent to make it at Chelsea, it's now so so important that he's managed well. We all know that Chelsea have got a dreadful record of bringing youth players through to the first team, and something will have gone seriously wrong if he doesn't make it at Chelsea.
Don't want to hype him up too much, but he could be a bit special.

No-one has answered my question.
How does Solanke get into your team ahead of Costa and Remy?

I do understand Say my name. You're backing my point up....
Chelsea's youth policy is about helping them with FFP rather than bringing through first team players. No point in articles highlighting how good Solanke is.
He'll never play more than 5 games

By being better and scoring more goals.....not saying that was obvious but that was obvious. Surprised you had to ask really as its how football works, you play your best players. D'OH

So after saying he'd never play for the first team when he already had you've now had to eat it and move it to more games.
You really are one pathetic piece of shiitty.

Didn't really want this article to turn into a thread about Chelsea's past failures with youth - I acknowledged that in the thread. So thanks for that Pundit.
My question is if Chelsea are to change that and give Solanke the best chance possible to play in the first team, what is the best course of action next season?
Mourinho has stated numerous times that if players like Solanke, Loftus-Cheek etc. don't make it into the England team then he will have failed so its clear he's looking to the future. And with his desire to stay here and build a dynasty that looks like he's being sincere.
