He will never play for your first team.
Great, cheers Pundit, now jog on
He already has (albeit briefly) in the Champions League.
And don't forget he is England youth player of the year.
And most importantly, Jose likes him.
We'll get a glimpse of what Jose's intentions are in the remaining 3 games. If there's a strong youth presence in the lineups I think he might be getting serious about trying to bring them through.
Another thing to add is that Roman has been at quite a few of the youth team's games in the last month or so. This could be a sign of his desire for our youth players to make it. And I wouldn't blame him, he's ploughed millions into our youth development system. Millions that have had quite a clear effect - 4 FA youth cups in the last 6 years and Euro youth league win this season.
I think with Jose's new long-term contract we might actually be looking to start building a team for the future from our academy as it seems he has the fully trust of management.
So what do you think the approach should be next season, blueboy?
minididi I agree, and I hope that we are looking to bring more players through. Got some fantastic players in the youth teams, Solanke is one of many!

You don't bring through youth players. You haven't for years.
I will tell you the approach. You already know it but you want to believe it's not true. Solanke will join your 45 players who are loaned around the world.
He will do well on loan and eventually you will sell him for a nice profit while you buy the best players in the world with your oil money.
Deny it as much as you like, that's what's happening.

Would make no long term difference, look at the player's that played after we secured the title In 05 and 06.

the players you mentioned at chelsea still? like kakuta and half the rapid Vienna or whoever your dodgy feeder club is.
Boy: Fagin, this sausage is moldy
Fagin: Shut up and drink your gin.
It's tough for next season as I think we'll have at least one striker position in the squad available.
Does that go to Solanke or Championship player of the year, Patrick Bamford? Tough call.
Maybe both.
Oh, and Solanke's just got his hat-trick.
Can't wait for us to Loan him out for 2 years then sell him for around £10m
We'll get about 25m off Liverpool for him
So Pundit, talk me through the dozens of players that didn't make it through the youth scene at Chelsea that have gone on to play for other clubs at our level. Take your time, do a proper in-depth analysis rather than just letting your bile and hatred seep through your obviously prejudiced view of us.
When you realise that the reason they haven't made it to the first team is that they weren't good enough, you can come back and have a proper debate. Does it prove our youth setup hasn't been good enough in the past? It may well do.
The fact is there hasn't been a single player of the quality that Chelsea require that has come through our youth team in recent years. Not yet. But this latest crop, there are a good few possibilities there. I have high hopes that a few of them will be good enough to make it. But if they AREN'T good enough? Then they won't come through, and we will go back and try again.
Clubs like Arsenal bring the youth players through regardless of whether they are good enough for the top clubs. That might be fine for clubs like Arsenal, but for sides competing at the very top, you have to have higher standards.
Arsenal can carry on pointing to their youth products. We will carry on pointing to our trophies.

This
It's quite simple, if the manager believes they are good enough then they'll get their chance and then if they are good enough they'll continue to get game time.
I'm glad you all asked.
Ryan Bertrand:
In my opinion is a better left back than Luis Filepe and would help you with your English quota.
Daniel Sturridge:
If you had him now you wouldn't have bought Remy and he would have played ahead of Drogba in the absence of Costa. Last season he was the best English striker in the league. He would add to your English quota.
Nathan Chalobah:
Had this guy been given the right guidance and the right game time at that time he'd now be ahead of Mikel in your squad selection. English, would help you with your quota.
Patrick Bamford:
He should have been in your match day squad when Costa was injured. English, would help your quota.
Isaiah Brown:
Here's one that should not get away. His development has just been hindered because of Juan Cuadadro, a useless Columbian.
All English, all could have been developed at their peaks to be a part of your match day teams.
Dominic Solanke:
Soon to be held back by some other foreign benchwarmer.

Bertrand wanted games
Sturridge has no heart or legs
Chalobah is getting experience
Bamford same
Brown just turned 18 and you think he should be in the Chelsea attacking team ahead of Hazard Oscar Willian and co
