Most delays lead to crappy games anyways. Its more rare for a delay to actually improve a game. At least from a users perspective.

All EA games get rushed out every year, if only they did 1 every couple of years then maybe they would have a good product on their hands..
eg FIFA !

Don't know why people are surprised. Both Rainbow Six and The Division were originally planned to come out at the same time it just didn't make good business sense for Ubisoft.
At least Rainbow Six is built on already established brand so makes more sense to delay The Division and give more time to polish it.
Big questions will need to be asked though if it is unfinished by that point.

Delays have always been there, just the media coverage has changed so we are just more aware. I agree with most sentiment above, I would rather wait 6 months for a working thing than get something early and it be broken and bug riddled. And with the last few releases from ubi, they need to make sure it and all the online stuff is working

Arkham Asylum was significantly delayed on the PS3 and I am eternally grateful they did.
If Batman is delayed it will give me more time to complete Last Of Us.

That may be true but I'm sure if they were released on schedule they'd be crap games that don't even work as opposed to just crap.
