Anyway, it was interesting whilst it lasted. Nothing wrong with having a debate at least. Guess "we'll" find out one day.

And by 5pm Saturday we may have won as many trophies over two years as Chelsea and City and two more than United, Liverpool, Spurs and the rest. (Assuming you don't count the Community Shield).

Surely if you are going on club 'size', United should win everything.
Or money spent, City and Chelsea along with United.

DJ, He's not saying they shouldn't win everything though, they should as well. However, the only thing that can be said is that they can't all win it every year. But them clubs should win at least 1 trophy every 2 years, roughly. Doesn't always work like that, but that's what they should be aiming for, 3 years at the absolute worst.

And we are winning a trophy every 2 years, at least. Quite possibly one every year since the financial boost of new sponsorship deals that puts us in a competitive position.
Anyone who wants to dismiss the financial restraints we had, or believes we are still in a position where we have to sell a player for £20m plus every season, or denies the fact we can now go out and buy big name players, is an ostrich, as the great Nigel Pearson would say.
It was not a level playing field between us and United, Chelsea, and latterly City, for a good few years due to a decision we took to take short term restrictions for long term gains. We are bridging that gap, but it is not an overnight thing the way we are doing it.
Of course people will point to the disastrous game v Monaco, but United, Chelsea and City have all had similar in the past ten years, these things happen. You cannot judge a clubs progression on one game, and anyone who thinks we are the same level as three or four years back is not watching.
