Seeing as though both clubs are chasing both of these players this summer window, I thought it might be interesting to see the clubs views on this.
Both available for a free this summer and I do rate both quite highly personally. They would both make great additions to either squad at least and they wouldn't cost a penny. Whichever club gets these 2 players (unless they go their separate ways), I think that it would be a real bargain.
Thoughts?
Ings and Konoplayanka?

If we could get 2/3 (Konoplayanka/Milner/Ings) then I would be happy. I think Milner is unlikely, but Konoplayanka and Ings is a possibility and I would like them both if we could get them both.

Ings > Lambert/Adebayor
Konoplayanka > Chadli/Markovic

Biggest problem for Konoplyanka is that he doesn't do any defensive work at all and that's why we won't go in for him.
Going forward he's decent but Poch will demand more than that from him

I agree Hengy.
The only way I see it working with Konoplayanka is that if we find a way to make sure he does the defensive duties. Otherwise, it could all go wrong.

I thought we had pulled out of the Konoplyanka negotiations?

The name's Kane, Harry Kane,
If this is true, which I really hope it isn't, why are we paying £12m for somebody that is going to be a free transfer in a weeks or so time? Surely it can't be to fend off interest from other clubs. I know we've been quite bad with transfers in the past, but we can't stoop this low surely?
=====================
From what i read, Burnley can use the fact they recieved an offer of £10m for Ings just 4 months ago as a reason to get as much as this from a tribunal, so i guess we are just cutting out the middle man and paying what we would expect to if the process goes through the long drawn out way.
Could be quite clever if it pays off...
