Ranieri press conference

In case anyone missed it, some highlights from Ranieri's first press conference;

Ranieri is still hopeful of a deal for Cambiasso. But says he doesn't want it to drag on for much longer. If he doesn't sign he will look for another 'leader'.

The key backroom staff are staying, but three new coaches are coming in. Possibility that our current fitness coach may leave.

Ranieri wants "2...possibly 3 new signings".

Morgan will have time to rest after the Gold Cup finishes so don't expect him to start against Sunderland.

Ranieri sounded very keen to give young players a chance. Reminded the journalists that he brought through Zola and Terry.

And, most importantly of all, Ian Stringer's ban has been overturned! Susan Whelan sounded genuinely happy to see him again.

Overall I thought Ranieri came across very well. Sounded excited, pleased to be here and very optimistic. I'm certainly more optimistic now than this time last week.

I agree with you on the relaxed press conference Nev, it was good to see.

I think Claudio did well and lack of wholesale changes and just 2-3 signings should hopefully see us ok.

Sensitive to AWF criticism in todays press Ranieri held emergency press conference with Christian Fuchs in attendance.

“I want to make it very clear I have great respect for the Osterreich footballers as Christian here can tell you. In my long career I have always admired them- the AWF are greatly misinformed”

At this point Rudkin interrupted proceedings pulled Ranieri off stage and together with translator had hurried conference.

Last seen Ranieri was entering the Ostrich compound at Twycross wearing only his jock strap where unfortunately he bumped into Merseyside fox who having shaken the sand from his ears –headbutted him.
I only was trying to show ostriches my support cried Claudio

His assailant has since been charged with an attempt to mislead the public and to pervert the course of justice.

He pleads insanity

Foxello. Re original post, the last paragraph sums up my present feelings perfectly. Hopefully CR will be able to make the words into deeds.
