We were laughed at and mocked for spending £1bn. So far, one can argue that we have achieved our aims and objectives. City, a former mid table club, is now classed as a title favourite going into the new season.
United on the other hand, have been 7th and 4th in the last 2 seasons. The Class of 92 is not coming back. Evans, Cleverly, Welbeck etc are either long gone or are being shoved through the door.
Chelsea and City are still very much here and strengthening their squad. Throw Arsenal in there too.
Is it fair to say that one should expect United to win the title again after spending £1bn just like their neighbour did?

Oh dear, read the original comment back and exercise your brain, Ripleys, I know you're not daft. You get very touchy when the subject of money's raised.

Sorry?
I asked you a question. You responded to my question by saying you don't really have any idea. I responded to that by saying "that'll do for me".
Now you respond by saying I "get touchy"!
I think you're the one who should go back and re-read the discussion if you think I'm being "touchy".

I'll leave you to it. Maybe I should have written a treatise on why spending by the new money clubs has contributed to wage and transfer inflation which will inevitably lead to competing clubs doing similar without the funds to back it up, thus leading to inflation of everything from ST prices to shirts to the cost of a cup of Bovril, meaning it's us that'll ultimately bear the cost.
I ducked it and said 'no idea' cos I'll just get the dogmatic party line back. See ya.

Yeah, maybe you should have done that. Could have had a decent discussion about that.

It wouldn't have been a good discussion, it would have descended into 'rags spent x'. It always does, sadly.

wtf happened here Anyway Man Utd probably gained more then £1bn in prize money and legitimate sponsorship deals then Man City since the premierleague started so in a way we are self sustainable but Man City are having to rack up £100m+ of losses per year since the Sheikh Mansour took over although they are getting closer to the legal losses for ffp limit now. I think the people at Man City even said they spent massively to miss ffp so in a way they are lucky the owners came in when they did otherwise man city would probably be still trying to get into top 4.

United rarely do anything legitimately.

Etihad have gone from making a loss to making a profit of $1,139m since they started sponsoring us.
.................................................
You have to wonder why UEFA even bothered to think about looking at your deal, clearly you are a marvel of modern day advertising
They could have sponsored the worlds biggest clubs for what they invested, to claim they haven't made a loss on City is delusion!

Going by all those empty seats, not very much, I would say.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Always a clear indicator of a struggling rag desperately clutching at straws......the old empty seats line ....yawnnnnnnn!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What empty seat lie? The blue seats are on display in every game you play.
Even FIFA 2015, the football game in its deptiction of the Emptihad, shows the empty seats clearly

"empty seat 'LINE" if you are going to be a diva at least quote me correctly
